This hotel is great and in a decent location if you are looking for an overnight stay in Athens. As a solo traveler, I had no issues with check-in and staff was very nice and helpful. It is around the corner from several restaurants so its great to walk around a bit in this area (but not to far)

I was in Athens for work and didn't want to pay the high rates at some of the conference hotels. I found Kimon and liked the location and price. I have only one complaint about the experience, the mattress was a little uncomfortable, it conformed to my body (this may be a plus for some people). I found the staff...

A great value for the price - a much nicer hotel than another one up the street we had to stay in during our second visit which was the same price range but not nearly as nice. Definitely go to the classic Ithaka restaurant a very short walk from here - live music and a fantasic greek sampler for 2...

This is a very modest hotel in the heart of the Plaka in Athens. The neighborhood is safe, the hotel is walking distance from Syntagma Square, the Parliament, the Acropolis, Monesteraki and public transportation (metro and tram to the beaches). This is a budget hotel with a very spacious balcony, 24 hour front desk presence, free wifi, a slightly too...

We chose this hotel because it was close to the centre of the Plaka area and Syntagma Square and we couldn't have chosen better! The staff are so friendly and the service was excellent, nothing was a problem from providing a key when the card became demagnetised, and ordering taxis to advice on what to do in and around the...

Specifically booked this hotel through a booking website as it stated that an airport shuttle operated from the hotel, however this is not the case. That said, the hotel is very clean and fantastically located with helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is just 5 minutes walking from the city centre and 50 meters from the cathedral. The staff is ready to help you at any moment. The rooms are clean, new and well equipped. it is a perfect location to discover Athens for a good price for value option.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
