We stayed in a room of three for a night and we were satisfied.
The hotel is located at a very central area in Peireus and there are very conventient buses to the airport. The rooms though a bit old-fashioned were very clean and spacey....More
The savoy hotel is a landmark in Piraeus. I have visited it in the years past and have always enjoyed my stay. From the moment you enter the friendly staff greets you and you feel comforted by the classy lobby. The rooms are spotless and...More
The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly.
However, the hotel really doesn't look like it's pictures at all. The lobby is fine and seems more recently upgraded (nice places to sit, looks nice when you walk in). The rooms on the other hand...More
Dont stay here. The only thing good is the lobby and the nice lady who takes care of breakfast in the morning. The hotel is supposed to be smoke free. But the corridors and rooms stink of stale cigarette smoke. The shower is a joke....More

Booked George's Taxi for transfers to/from the Savoy hotel and airport. BUT during the stay discovered that the subway system is within a very short cab ride from the hotel. The trains go right to the airport and shopping areas. The only consideration is luggage. We had one carryon backpack each so we were very mobile. It was easy breezy. My only caution when taking public transport is to get directions. know the name of your stop. I found that often the stops went by 2 names. The folks at the terminals are VERY friendly and VERY helpful with this information. Inside of the train cars you will find a map with a light that illuminates for each city as you approach. Nothing to be nervous about jump in! Oh and if you are going to the Acropolis and/or Museum you can do this by subway as well. FAR cheaper than cabs. It takes a bit longer but it's a great way to see how the locals live.
