My husband and I stayed here for a week in June, and had a really pleasant experience. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The price is also very good! The hotel is very well located, near the old town, and all the touristic areas. The owners are amazing people, they are extremely helpful and welcoming, especially Christos, who made...

We booked a budget double room for 3 nights - approx 40 Euros a night. When we arrived around lunchtime, the budget double room turned out to be an occupied room with its door wide open on the ground floor right next to the tiny check-in desk and noisey smokey lounge bar tv room. Whilst we were checking in the...

We are aiming at the samaria gorge so we have come to chania. The staff in the reception is very helpful for checking the price of the tour group and bus schedule, so that we can compare the cost for going there. The place is very near the town center, we can find bars and restaurants easily by going to...

The hotel is very central. Everything you need in Chania city is only minutes away. The rooms are not very large but you have all the space you need. Really clean and the wc has shower cabins - not plastic curtains. The hotel stuff is very friendly and they give you the right recommendations. If you go there by car...

Chania Old Town is exceptional, but impossible for car users and it's crowded in the summer. My previous experience has been quaint (but pricey, old and noisy) old-town hotels, or expensive modern rooms outside the Old Town. This hotel is a gem - it's clean and modern, has free and plentiful parking, good air conditionaing and is only 150m from...

Chania is a great place to just stroll around, and this hotel is in a good location being just a five to ten minute walk away from the main part of town. Not too imposing from the outside, but inside the hotel is very smart. The room we had was modern, clean and comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the...

I recommend Hotel Filoxenia very highly! Rooms are nice and you can find everything you need: fridge, hair dryer, fresh towels on every morning, little patio on every room, breakfast and the most importantly AC. Service is very friendly and warm and the owner's son is great guy! He can tell you the best beaches, places to shop with locals...

Let me start with the mundane. The room was fine, clean, adequate. Access was from a narrow side street near the harbour. With the door of our room just off reception and adjacent to the bar, things got a little noisy, including someone clinking glasses at 3am! But this was more than offset by the personality of the proprietor's son,...
