First time in Crete and we are so pleased we booked this hotel.I like other reviewers cannot fault the Astali,It is spotlessly clean and for a 2 star hotel is very well equipped Five minutes walk from the beach and a ten minute stroll to the old town.Easy breakfast and with wonderful Greek yoghurt.Getting around is easy, and, taxi's are cheap. Can't wait...

This small family run hotel deserves all the good reviews - we couldn't fault it. The hotel is conveniently located for the beach and 15 minutes walk to the old town and harbour. Although basic the rooms are well thought out with a hairdryer by a mirror, quiet fridge and soap dispensers in the shower room. We had room 12...

We stayed at the Astali the first two weeks in October 2014, It has a great position for visiting the old town and also the beach. Friendly family run hotel, which is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was simple but very nice. Bus stop situated just outside the Hotel, considering your on a busy road traffic noise was no problem. We would...

The Astali it is true, has no pool, but with the great beach only three minutes away we never missed it, we are not pool people anyway. As advertised the room was clean, comfortable and had wonderful aircon. Breakfast was of good quality, and quite flexible time. Staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. The terrace bar is a...

Just back from a lovely holiday staying at the Astali Hotel. Its not a big hotel but we enjoyed staying here. The owner is a lovely lady, always a smile on her face and nothing too much trouble for her and her sons. Rooms are small but big enough for us. We only slept in them and found that being...

The staff were exceptionally good. Welcoming. Helpful. A real family run business. The room was good and excellent air con. Included in the price. Shower was a little basic and the breakfast was adequate. However, we did not pay a great deal so no complaints. An excellent position for the beach and the old town was minutes away.Would certainly recommend...

We stayed here recently and found the owners,a lady and her 2 sons always available, very helpful and nothing too much trouble. They always had time to speak to us ,and sometimes a free language lesson. The hotel is spotlessly clean and all the linen was lovely and white. We did find that the bedroom was a bit on the...

We stayed 11 days at this family hotel. Rooms and bathroom are fairly small, as is the breakfast area but this is all that i could complain about. Rooms are very clean, location is very good and you feel at home. The owners are very kind and are always willing to help you. They give advice about trips, good restaurants...

No point in adding to the hotel description, all the reviews below do that very adequately, just to say that the lovely family that run the Astali can add us to their long list of very happy holidaymakers.

On the coach from the airport we stopped at some very grand hotels indeed but all in the middle of nowhere, we were concerned until we arrived at Astali. It was on the edge a buzzing little crossroads and watching the antics of local people on mopeds carrying trays of coffees, dogs and suitcases is a joy to behold;-) So...
