The apartment was clean, but had no kettle or toaster, plus no plug for the sink or tea-towels. we were told that it would take too much power to provide these basic facilities, yet other people that we spoke too that were also in self-catering had a kettle etc. and were shocked that we had none of the above. We...

This was our third visit to the island, and our first to Marialena Village. We were so lucky to be allocated Apartment 1, which stood on it's own. Very spacious rooms with a large shower, sunkissed balcony, very private. The complex has a nice pool, with a lovely bar and eating area, the gardens are clean and tidy, very well...

Great choice for a quiet family holiday, lovely staff and amazing surroundings! Doesn't deserve the bad comments. Family run, with Delicious homemade traditional Greek food cooked everyday cooked by the mother herself. Very clean apartments with spacious balconies overlooking the complex.

We booked this last minute and after reading reviews were a bit apprehensive but we had no need to be- George the owner was nice and friendly not the ogre he has been portrayed as. The apartment was clean and spacious as was the pool and bar area. We ate there once the food was ok ( we didn't have...

If you like a peaceful, quiet location, this is for you. If you like to sit on your veranda in the evening and hear nothing apart from the owls in the trees, this is the place for you. If you wake up at about 4in the morning and go outside you will see stars and listen to the dawn cockerel...

We stayed at Marialena for 2 weeks in July. Positives - attractive complex, pretty gardens with a nice sized swimming pool. The sunloungers were good quality. Accomodation was spacious and beds were comfortable. Nice walk down the lane past very nice taverna, countryside, horses, goats etc to a lovely beach. Negatives - accomodation was not cleaned the whole 2 weeks...

We have been to Skiathos many times but this was our first visit to the Marialena apartments. We like somewhere away from the main hustle and bustle of the resort and this was ideal, lovely views over the valley and just countryside sounds of cockerels, dogs and crickets. We requested a room on a high floor (via email to Thomson...

First trip to Skiathos but will definitely return as it is a very pretty island with stunning hill top views overlooking other islands. Apartments basic but spacious and situated in a very quiet location about 10 mins walk from the main road. Lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds. Had a couple of meals in the resort restaurant which...

This was our first trip to Skiathos and was also our first self catering holiday abroad for many years. I must say we had a wonderful holiday. It is a lovely walk from the main road and certainly not a burden like some have said but it may not suit the less mobile. The apartments are simple but spotless and...
