Mogens is a gracious host who keeps his home meticulous, bakes fresh bread for breakfast and is available to recommend a restaurant or day trip. His property is post-card perfect and a beautiful testimony to his love of nature and gardening. We enjoyed a glass of wine with views of the beautiful landscape and seas from his backyard. We ate...

Mogens is a very warm host who makes extra miles to fetch us from ferry station. We loved the breakfast especially the organic nutty homemade bread. The sunrise was beautiful and sitting besides the full length windows enjoying the seas was nice. We didn't drive but taking the free bus rides made visits to soby and marstal easy.

If walking through the fields, reading a book in a cozy corner or simply enjoying the tranquility and appreciate to be away from everything that could be noisy then Bakkehuset is the ideal place for you. You must equally love to converse with appropriator Mogens Theisberg who is a very interesting gentleman and as much part of the experience as...

My husband and I absolutely loved this B & B! We are traveling for 5 weeks and the 2 days we spent in Aero at Bakkehuset was our favorite. The owner Morgan speaks very good English and is a wonderful host whom we enjoyed visiting with and also enjoyed his delicious breakfasts including his homemade carrot bread and jams. He...

We were guests in this beautiful B&B for 3 nights and left with only pleasant and wonderful memories, which most definitely are to some extent due to our choice to stay at the Bakkehuset and its friendly and caring owner Mr Mogens Theisberg! Our Room, the Haavsteen suite was modernly furnished and was clean, including the bathroom. The room had...

I spend about 100 nights a year in hotels, and the Bakkehuset earns a very special place in my heart. The room: I stayed in the Riisegaard suite, an open, airy space with two twin beds and a recently renovated en-suite bathroom. The room had several windows with beautiful views of the rolling hills and island coastline. The location: the...

Imagine an English inspired cottage house among the rolling hills on the island of Aeroe with a view to the sea. Add in modern conveniences, like reliable wifi, great showers, and ample storage space. Above all, though, factor in the knowledgeable, gentleman innkeeper, Mr. Theisberg, and you have the makings for a memorable stay! I cannot recall a more relaxing...

We stayed for four nights when we came to get married on Aeroe. Mogens is a wonderful host, providing copious breakfasts full of local produce (most of the time we didn't need lunch!), as well as lively conversation and lots of tips about where to go and what to see. We had a lovely large room with a sea view,...

We stayed a night at Bakkehuset this summer, and it was a great experience all over! Mogens was a lovely host, he made us a fulfilling breakfast with home baked bread and our room overlooking the fields and ocean was fantastic! Beautifully decorated and with a huge bathroom. I would definitely recommend staying here anytime! Nana&Esben
