Let me just start by saying that hotel prices in Copenhagen are ridiculously high. We stayed for one night in this hotel, since we were unable to get a reservation in the hotel we were staying for the rest of our stay in Copenhagen. This was probably the most we have paid for a room in a budget hotel and...

Rooms were clean and new, wifi was free, price was good for Copenhagen. The only small downside is the 10-15 min walk from the train station- not a problem first thing in the morning, but a bit inconvenient for weary legs after a full day of sight seeing. One day we hired bikes from the hotel which was good but...

I stayed there for 2 nights and would stay there again, unless you have a large suitcase that you have to carry from the central station to the hotel, like I did. The hotel is located a 10-15 min walk from the central station, in a weird area, but the hotel is very clean and new. The room was smartly...

Staying here is like staying at a standard hotel in budget hotel prices. One night costed less than $100 CAD/US and it was one of the better hotels I've stayed in Europe. It's a fairly new hotel so it's pretty clean. The service was nice too. My personal advice is to close your curtains before you shower. The bathroom is...

We booked this for a New Year Break and we were delighted with our choice. If your priorities are convenient location (check), free wi-fi (check) and good value (check) this hotel has all this and more. What sets this hotel apart from the usual run of the mill bargain basement hotels is it's modern and chic aesthetic - the rooms...

Nice room centrally located. Public transport easily used and very regular. Good continental breakfast. Clean and room makes the most of the space. Would stay here if I ever visit Copenhagen again. Like the other review comment about Sci-Fi type room. Very compact shower toilet area.

Whilst the hotel might be slightly further out from the central train station, Tivoli, and the main shopping streets than other hotels it's still a good base for exploring Copenhagen being only a 10 minute walk at most (or quicker bicycle ride) away from the train station. The hotel has a very modern feel for the traveller(s) who might be...

Had an enjoyable stay at Wakeup Copenhagen. The location is great - about 10 minutes to walk to the Tivoli Gardens, 15 minutes into the centre. On arrival, our room wasn't ready yet. They have a locker room downstairs where you pay 20DKK to put your bag in. The lockers are of varying sizes and when we got down there,...

We used this place for a quick visit of the Danish capital - mostly on foot. Location The location is good, although a little off the central downtown axis that goes through the main train station and the Tivoli, which is about a ten minute walk away. The west of the downtown area (e.g. Kobyen) is also cut off a...

My friends and I, we found this hotel on a Lonely Planet guide and how could we expect not to be teated well by a four stars design hotel? The hotel welcomes you really well because it is nice, technologic, well furnished, clean rooms with a personal bathroom. Nothing to say about the beginning of our stay, but everything went...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
