Broken floor in the room, no internet, room didn't even get mobile network and was in the corner of the hotel. It's way beyond its 'Grand' past... I'm sure you can get better hotels than this in Copenhagen.
Positives: the staff and breakfast
Charming hotel, with great staff. Was accommodated with a fridge in the room, and mobile router. Great breakfast. Only inconvenience was the elevator (barely room for one person with luggage, two without) Our room was on the 4th floor, so we had to take the...More
WE stayed here for 4 nights in anticipation of hooking up with a pre-booked/pre-paid tour (through PTG Tours, UK - which seems to be completely disorganized when it comes to communication - see other 'Terrible' review on PTG Tours).
However, this hotel was faultless.
This hotel needs some refurbishment but has both charm and style. The room had plenty of space and had no less than two balconies. We chose the hotel mostly because of the location right in the heart of Copenhagen.

This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and
hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
