Grand hotel is easy to find and only 5 minutes walk from the central station. It is an old fashion hotel with carpets on the floors. Nothing for allergy sufferers. The hotel claims that it is smoke free, but we had to change room because of smoke smell in the room. The hotel has some rooms in another building, which...

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful at the Grand Hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would however suggest that the rooms need a re-vamp, as staying in one of the 'large double' rooms felt like we had teleported back to the 1950's. By far the best thing about this hotel is the location, you can get...

This hotel is awesome! The location could not be better, right next to the central station and everything worth visiting on your doorstep! Staff are lovely! Rooms basic however. You pay the for location!

The Grand Hotel in Copenhagen is just a 5 minute walk from the central train station. The location is excellent to explore the city since most of the interest points are within walking distance. The room was clean but small and noisy late at night since there a is a bar and a hostel close by. I'll stay again if...

The grand hotel is located in the city center with walking distance to the main railway station and the Tivoli. The rooms are clean but quite old and with limited comfort. Breakfast is good with a big variety of food. Internet is free but slow. Friendly staff.

The only thing grand about this hotel is the grand in the name, our room was so far down a long corridor that smelt of cigarettes although l don't think anyone smoked there, The room was small and tired the bed was comfortable and there were no tea making facilities these only are available to the de luxe rooms, not...

For a 2 night stay away in the city, this was perfect. Excellent value for money and not too fancy. We just wanted a quick getaway trip where we could get up in the morning and go wandering around the city! Ideal location right next to the central station and near everything! The bed was comfy and bathroom clean! There...

Stayed here on business in March 2017. Chose this hotel based on location to the main train station in Copenhagen. The hotel is very old and full of character, however the rooms are very dated and small. The bathrooms are particularly nasty - not very clean and the shower is so small that there is no way to avoid the...

The rooms are at best described as average. The wet rooms are not designed properly so the whole bathroom becomes wet after taking a shower. On top of this, I had prescription medication removed from the room, as well as my toothbrush. I would never stay in this hotel again, absolutely shocking!!!

Stayed here on a deal with a travel company. I have read the other reviews and here are my thoughts. It's an older hotel, the decor is a little tired and dated. We had a double room, the wardrobe is quite small and the wet room shower bijou but it is spotlessly clean, the shower works and is hot whenever...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
