This is a really good no frills hotel in an otherwise expensive city. it's bang in the middle of Copenhagen, next door but one to the central railway station. the breakfast is hearty and diverse and delicious. the staff are friendly. i always stay here when i want an affordable, comfortable stay in copenhagen.

Arrived at 11am - 4 hours before check-in to be told "good morning sir, your room is ready for you here is your key card" - Fantastic, couldn't wait to throw my bags in my room and go exploring in Copenhagen so thank you to the staff for giving me the extra time. The room was a bit dated with...

This is a nice, older hotel with some pro's/con's. Pro - Location - Heart of the city - Spacious - rooms were clean and comfortable - Breakfast was excellent, great selection Con - They accommodate cruise tours and are not 100% organized - Little pricey and room's do not reflect the cost involved. It was not a bad experience but...

I was forced into this hotel due to everything else being booked. Don't be fooled by the name, this is not a Grand establishment! The room was old and worn down, the pillow increadibly uncomfortable, it smelled of mildew and lingering smoke and the shower was just a hose from the basin...stay away!

Stayed for two nights on the 5th floor. Not being fully booked I, a single traveller, was offered a double at no extra charge. Nefore arriving I was a bit dubious about the hotel, could I expect reasonable quality for that price. And the answer was better than expected. Yes, the hotel is not fancy, and four stars may be...

We met nice and friendly staff in the reception. The room may not have been built last year, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The location of your hotel is excellent, train trip from the airport easier then a taxi ride. We will recommend your hotel without hesitation.

Nothing more to say, just a bed. This is more like a hospits. Sorry, but Will not come back here! The hotel needs a total make-over, that's for sure! However the location is good, but that's not enough !

We stayed at the Grand for three nights this month. It's 100m from Cetnral Station, and Tivoli Gardens is right around the corner. The town square, shopping street, theatre, cinema and many restaurants are a short stroll away. The rooms are not huge, but comfortable and well appointed. The english-speaking staff were great, even packing us a breakfast to take...

Historical nice hotel with excellent location if you are planning to visit the Copenhagen Tivoli og shopping at the Stroeget. Good breakfast, excellent food and service at the Frascati Restaurant. Small rooms and small elevators, but overall recommendable.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
