My things got stolen from my room, I have sent emails, complained at the reception and so far no action has been taken. Please watch out when you are in this hotel, keep your expensive items with you as if you leave them in the room things get stolen. There are no safe boxes to put your expensive things, and...

Very good located, in front om central train station and very near to restaurants and shops. This hotel has helpfull and nice people, and also a great breakfast, with organic food. Internet was also good. Rooms are a little bit old and need a update, but are not bad.

Very good because the hotel us located just outside the central train station - I like it when it's close to the public transport links. Their breakfast is so delicious and organic. Try Hotel Astoria, you'll jnow what I mean.

I stayed in this hotel because price looked reasonable compared to high prices in Copenhagen. The photos of hotel on Trip adviser looks decent but reality is different. Most terrible thing is that everything looks dirty. A lot of stains on the carpet in halls and inside the rooms. When I complained about it to staff they acted as it...

Hi, thank you for staying with us. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Yes, there are stains on the carpets, which are old bleach stains that cannot be removed. We hope that the renovation will finish in 2018 so that we can freshen up these smaller things. But the hotel is cleaned daily by a professional team,...

The hotel is the best choice if you looking for a good hotel which closes to the central station, you can find it right away once you left the station, and one 1 min walk to the hotel. Our room is on the first floor which is face to the back street, which is quiet than face to station rails....

Hi, thank you so much for this review. about the carpets, the stains are from bleaching products used by the former company. We clean the rooms daily but these stains cannot be removed. So we hope to see you with us once we have renovated the other half of the hotel. We have a 24/7 reception that can offer you...

This was cheap and cheerful. The staff were all very nice and it is very close to the central railway station so getting to and from the airport is a breeze. It was fine for a business visit however I would probably look for something a little better if going for a weekend trip as the trains can easily be...

Hi, thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, our location is central and this will create noise from the streets surrounding us and the trains passing by. But it is also the very charming part of Copenhagen :) We do hope to see you with us again.

I took a group of 18 people on an Art Tour of Copenhagen and we all had a marvellous stay at Astoria Hotel. The friendliness of the staff, the location and the services and hygiene were all top quality,. I stay at the Astoria's at least once a year on business and it has never disappointed!

This hotel is a perfect example of pre-war architectural functionalism, for those interested in building design. Amazing structural design, and even with the train station so close, we rarely felt vibrations or heard sounds from the trains. Right in the heart of København, next to Tivoli Gardens, the Glyptoteket, National Museum of DK, etc, etc. However, left with one question...

Hi, Thank you so so much for this kind review. I have looked everywhere and finally found out about the stone picture on the front of the house. It is supposed to be the story of the flying suitcase, in Danish: ”Den flyvende kuffert” which is a famous story by H. C. Andersen. It is created by Svend Rathsack. Hope...

We rented a junior suite. We expected a table and at least 2 chairs. There were only one and a very small desk. The first day the cleaners did not leave fill up of coffe and shower soap. Everything look very tired. Not at all what you expect paying more than 300 euros pr. night.

We had an amazing time! The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is amazing and the breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean (I'm picky about that) and we had a nice view. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Copenhagen!

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Astoria is located as a large train in extension to Copenhagen's Central Station. It is positioned very central in a living area with a short distance to the metropolitan areas in the Meetpacker Destrict and Copenhagen Center. There are approximately 100 meters to Tivoli and the City Hall Square is right around the corner. The airport is only a 12 minutes ride away. The hotel is a 3-star hotel built in 1934 in the functionalist style typical for the architectural era and is therefore popular among people interested in architecture. We have kept many of the original parts inside the hotel.
