My wife and I spent 4 days in Copenhagen and stayed at the Marriot by the canal. It is a great place to stay as it is in easy walking distance of the major attractions yet removed from the noise of the city. It is...More
The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the Central Station (and Tivoli Gardens) and has lovely views of the canal.
Check-in was quick and efficient and we were able to check in before the check in time. We did not opt for the...More
Clean and tidy, quiet room with all the amenities you need. Mainly for the business traveller or people just needing somewhere to rest their head as opposed to hanging out, as not much character. Good location to access centre of town and station. Worth the...More
Copenhagen is a tough city when it comes to hotels. There is expensive and then very expensive. There is no cheap. Even when you pay expensive, you've subjected to so many sub-par services that it makes the whole experience sour.
Whilst, still expensive, the Marriott...More

Dear Mark D,

This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and
hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

This hotel does have a concierge that helped us out on several occasions; however, they are not in a position (that I know of) to purchase tickets. They were extremely helpful in giving us good advice and direction on train tickets. We had the Copenhagen card, so attraction tickets were not an issue for us. There are representatives there at times from groups/companies that provide attraction services, but we did not take part. For example, you could purchase tickets for the Hop On-Hop Off bus right there at the hotel.
