We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. The hotel itself is an amazing old building with exposed beams and lots of historic features. Our room was nice - good size and a comfy bed. We didn't eat at the hotel but there was restaurants within walking distance. The price was also fairly good for Copenhagen where things...

Brilliant location by the water. Excellent water bus across to the Opera, we loved it! Good beds, nice staff, very good breakfast. One drawback was the bar (Salt) downstairs: Very very noisy, and the cocktails were very watery. But apart from that, a very good hotel choice indeed.

We stayed at this hotel in January for a 2 night weekend break. Having arrived early at 10.30am, we were told our room was ready and we had been upgraded to a deluxe room which was a nice surprise, especially as it was very windy and rainy on the day we arrived. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful...

Took a long delay for the review, but I know I had to write something about it. Love this hotel with it's location. 5min walk from Nyhavn where you can find different types of restaurants and 10mins from the main shopping area. It's pretty safe around and a nice walk to the hotel, where most embassies are nearby. The staffs...

This hotel was chosen for its location as it is only a 10 minute walk from the metro and close to Nyhavn. However we received a very warm welcome on our arrival and were pleased with our choice. The bedroom was a good size but a little dated, the bathroom was particularly disappointing. However the bed was very comfortable and...

The room was nice and with large wooden beams to accentuate the theme of ships, which worked quite well. While the mini bar had a large and good selection it was also the only fridge in the room so we couldn't cool our own things since the placement pads reacted to weight. The associated restaurant, SALT, was very nice and...

The rooms are very charming with old construction in wood. The service from reception is smilling and effective. The hotel is placed in the center of Copenhagen, just besides the waterfront. If you arrive by car be carefully in paying the parkingfee, which is quite expensive. The parkingcontroller are very active, and give you with a smile a penalty of...

This was our second New Years Eve spent at the Admiral, and if anything it was even better than the previous year. The evening begins at 6.30 with a welcome cocktail and proceeds via a 5 course dinner of accomplished finesse, accompanied by wines selected for each course (glasses re-filled as often as you like, so pace yourself - its...

We are a family of 4 (children aged 7 and 10) and we recently stayed in a junior suite at this hotel. The positives - good restaurant, location and nice looking building. The negatives: - Unclean (particularly noted when we had to fix the slats in a bed which fell apart on night 1) - Unprofessional service (fold out bed...

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
