Nice modern hotel , staff friendly, but seems no air conditioning and top floor was hot in dull June, which meant opening windows and so some train noise on east side. Located on edge of tourist zone and free swimming in pools/sauna but evening best to avoid schoolkids. Kettle in room but £2 extra for a mug & coffees , a bit mean ! Breakfast was fine in next building and we had a good evening meal too .

Chose this hotel as it was close to the railway station. Proved to be a great choice, Yes it does look like a Leisure Centre if you enter by the door nearest the station, but if you walk around the side you do get to the proper entrance. Helpful friendly receptionists and great spacious rooms. Typical Scandinavian no frills but clean and everything you need. The hotel is ideally placed for Tivoli Gardens (5 minute walk) and shopping Centre (10 minute walk) Hard Rock Cafe is near which suited us well!!! You have to walk to an outside building for meals but this was fine. Breakfast offered plenty of choice. Really, really enjoyed it! Highly recommend this place!!

I actually enjoyed my stay at the DGI-byen in Copenhagen, though it is a bit of a strange place and can't really make it's mind up what - or where - it is. That is half the fun of staying there I suppose. There are all kind of sporting/fitness activities going on around you and its not immediately obvious where the hotel bit is. Once you get to your room though, you'll find it basic but clean and modern - somewhat IKEA-esque in decor. Very scandinavian I suppose. The restaurant is, inevitably, in a separate building of course. It had to be. The breakfasts are really good, and I had an evening meal there too. Again, this was of a very high standard. Ok, ok, it is a little weird, but I actually like the place. Don't forget also that it is ideally situated in the centre

The room and bathroom were very clean. Enough room to stay in 3. The hotel is located near Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, Glyptptek. Just a few bus stops to reach Amalienborg (house of the Royal family), Stroget (shopping), Nyhavn (new haven). The fitness centre, swimming pool and bowling lanes close at 5 pm, so if you want to visit the city (sightseeings are open from 10 am to 5 pm) you cannot use them. Breakfast was good and abundant, even if the food was always the same. Children aged 2 or 3, pay for the extra bed even if they don't use it, because they have access to breakfast, swimming pool and other facilities of the hotel.

Stayed here recently with my family for a holiday. We picked it because of location and because it has a pool. Worked out well as we had a pretty rainy day one day in Copenhagen. The hotel was clean and basic, but the staff are very helpful with anything you need. Breakfast is good but simple. The pool is very good and great for kids of all ages. 5 min away from Central station and Trivoli Park. Worth a look at for travelling with family and keeping a decent budget.

A very well situated hotel close to Copenhagen central train station. The entrance from the station side is a bit odd as you have to go through a fully working gym and a public bath, but once you reach your room it is spacious and has every necessary convenience (including free wifi). The room standard is rather basic with functional but simple and outdated furniture and decorations. It is however clean, the bed is comfortable and the room is bigger than a "normal" hotel room in a city centre. The breakfast is good although it is served in an other building, which forces you to get an umbrella or run fast if it is raining in the morning.

Stayed here for 3 nights in May and was pleasantly surprised. After ready many reviews stating that it was very basic i wasnt expecting much. But the hotel is fantastic for exploring copenhagen and is presented very well. The rooms are a decent size and are very clean. They have everything you need for a short stay. The breakfast is great, especially as its included in the price. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, we even walked to the mermaid on a rock. We would definately recommend Tivoli gardens which is a 5 min walk from DGI, the best day to go is a saturday as they have lots of entertainment and music on. Also its a stones throw from the central train station which has frequent trains running to and from the airport, just a short journey away. As a bonus

The hotel was exactly what was required. Yes it was basic but they don't advertise themselves as being a luxury hotel. Everything that was needed was supplied and we had a top floor room with balcony which was unexpected. It is ideally located near the central train station and Tivoli Gardens. All main bus routes were also close by. The pool was fantastic and also had use of the bowling ally. Breakfast supplied was good with a big selection for a continental breakfast. What made out stay most enjoyable were the staff. Any query we had they were able to assist with and went out if their way to help. A great credit to the hotel. Would defiantly stay here again.

This hotel was great for myself and 2 friends and served its purpose as a cheap and cheerful hotel in a great location. It is a stone's throw from the train station and Tivoli Gardens, and also Vesterbro (Meat Packing District) where there are lots of great bars and restaurants. Breakfast was included in the price; serving fresh fruit, Danish pastries, cereal, fresh meat, bread rolls etc. and was delicious. The staff spoke perfect English and were more than happy to help us. The rooms were fairly basic but clean and comfortable, we had a balcony too so were able to sit outside in the sunshine. I would definitely recommend DGI-Byens :)

The location is good - but the hotel is worn down and it feels like the management have given up. ROOM: The rooms are minimalistic (or bare to be honest), they feel very worn down and dirty. The bathroom smeels like sewer, the towels are VERY old and thin. The TV was almost falling down from the wall and info system doesn't work. BREAKFAST: OK breakfast - nice selection of fruit. But the staff was NOT efficient.... it almost felt like they were annoyed with the fact that there was people in the restaurant. OVERALL: There are so many hotels in Copenhagen in the same price class.... but where you get much better rooms and service than at this one. However - if you have children - then this hotel can be very good (there a family rooms, a play room during summer and free
