3min walk from central station and within walking distance of TiVoli and lots of other attractions. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Room was very basic and dated but suited purpose. Comfy soft bed, tv, tea coffee facilities, wifi. We had a very small bathroom and you couldn't shower without the shower curtain sticking to you due to lack of room....

The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff are incredibly helpful and courteous. The breakfast is tasty and varied, but the rooms are a little dated and could do with a deeper clean. There were stains on the carpet and we needed to have one duvet changed but overall we were pleased and would stay there again. In...

I booked this hotel in advance for a single night after my return from Sweden. I arrived to a friendly welcome and the reception and restaurant has a modern and clean vibe. Unfortunately that was it... The list is clackity and slow, a sure sign of the age!! My room was clean but so tired looking. Unfortunately the cleaner had...

We, a group of four 18 year-old girls, stayed at Copenhagen Star Hotel when we spent the weekend in Copenhagen. The hotel had everything we needed for the weekend. It will still not get 5 stars, and it is two reasons behind it. Before we arrived we asked for early check-in, and even if their website says they offers it...

Very close to TivoliGardens which were decked out for Christmas, fantastic place, went there 2 nights once to the nutcracker ballet in a superb theater then pulled pork and glug outside with lots of hygge ie wrapped up in a blanket by a heater with enclosed flames watching the rides and winter spectacle. The second night we ate at a...

We used this hotel as a base to visit Tivoli Gardens and generally explore this lovely city. It is a 3 minute walk from the central station and easy to find. This is important when travelling with small children. Busses are close at hand and if you want to explore by bus a 24 hour 4 zone city pass will...

Our room was in 5th floor, room was clean and good for two persons. We didn't have little fridgerator, but we didn't need it. Staff...

We arrived at the hotel at about 2pm stored our luggage in the storage room. Although there was a security camera people could enter the luggage room as they pleased. This was a little concerning. Room was small but fine. We had a triple room. Heaters can be adjusted to your own comfort level. Would have been nice to have...

We spent a long weekend in Copenhagen and chose the Copenhagen Star Hotel based upon its proximity to the centre and comparative affordability. It looked very clean and well appointed on the website too. How wrong can you be. The room was very small and dirty. The bathroom likewise, with a powerful, lingering odour of drains an added bonus. Room...

When the cabbie who dropped me off after I wondered around the train station for far too long said, "Watch your wallet - there are a lot of hookers around here," I knew I had overpaid for my room. While clean-ish, the furnishings were threadbare and the whole place is in need of renovation. The local strip clubs and adult...

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
