My wife & I took a 15 year-old grandson for a short holiday to see the city we had not visited for over 40 years. Flying BA , this hotel was on their recommended list. We wanted a hotel which was central, convenient and not too expensive. This served our purposes perfectly. We walked from central station (5 mins). The...

Chosing this hotel was quite difficult; I was looking for something cheap, or at least not too expensive, near the downtown and with the minimun, than means "clean, proper, and helpfull staff". When looking at Copenhagen options I realised it´s quite expensive compared to other cities, and this hotel near the train station with 3 stars, a "Trip Advisor Badge"...

The hotel right at the edge of the busy shopping area. The central train station, the shopping area, the travoli garden, the hop on hop off bus terminal & more are within walking distance. The hotel staffs are very nice. The breakfast food is fresh & the breakfast area has a top view scenery. The room size is just alright....

This was our first trip to Copenhagen and we were worried about where to stay and how we would get around the area. We appreciated the shuttle from the airport but more importantly, we appreciated the help we were given by clerks. They were clear and accurate on all information! It was a great service that we could buy tickets...

This was our 2nd stay at the Copenhagen Crown Hotel. The first time they managed to mess up our booking and charged us for a room twice. The booking was done on-line. The lady we spoke to was quite apologetic but the problem was not solved after a couple of weeks. They requested information like proof from the credit card...

The Crown is in a great location, 5ish minutes walk from the main railway station and Tivoli Gardens. The first impressions aren't great, the outside looks a bit dated, and the reception area is a bit spartan. However the rest of the hotel and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. The one criticism I would have of the rooms...

This hotel is about 7-8 minutes from the central station and 10 from Tivoli Gardens. There are lots of restaurants in the area and the better ones are on the back streets surrounding the hotel. The hotel itself is pretty basic. There is a nice breakfast room at the top with cereal, meats, cheese and fruit. The reception has a...

Very good hotel, slightly old fashioned (need refreshment in the back yard, on the carpets, ...), good cosy room with view in the backyard, amazing breakfast buffet in the morning, nice reception staff - bicycles for rent are quite expensive though : would for sure recommend it!

This hotel is a really nice boutique facility - old building but the rooms are very new and spacious (except for the bathroom which is a bit retro but still fully functional). Breakfast is a basic euro continental style - not amazing but does the trick. The main problem is the wifi - really poor quality, slow and drops off...

Very ordinary hotel with extraordinarily high tariff. No fan in the room, no ac, had to keep the windows open and hence was disturbed throughout the night by the sound of people talking or shouting in the hotel entrance. Location good...about a seven minute walk from the railway station.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
