If hotels were just about the welcoming and friendliness of staff then Kong Arthur Hotel would win another award. However the room allocated to two men sharing was the size of a single. After bringing this to the hotel's attention no alternative was offered, but they did inform us that they had smaller rooms! The 'bathroom' (toilet, shower & sink)...

Kong Arthur is a three star property. It has some good features-large historic overall property and helpful staff and some bad ones-mid range at best linens and a horrendous bathroom in my room. The hotel seems to cater mostly to cruise ship passengers and is in no way elegant of sophisticated. The hotel is a bit away from downtown in...

This hotel is very nice and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the staff in this hotel is among the best customer service we have ever received in a hotel. They are all extremely helpful and have some great tips on where to see and where to eat among the locals and not the tourist traps. From this...

Great hotel, quiet area with lots of nice restaurants nearby. Staff are amazing and lovely rooms. They have a cosy hour every day at 4pm with a complimentary alcoholic drink - wine or beer! What more could you want!

If you want to stay at a nice hotel away from the worst of the tourist areas but still within walking distance of all Copenhagen has to offer, Hotel Kong Arthur is a great choice. While the rooms are spartan by American standards they are quite comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice and eager to help. The hotel has...

Firstly, no ramp therefore you have to carry your luggage up one set of stairs and down another, for weary travellers not a good start. We both ordered a Junior Suite, mine was the significantly larger of the two. Very expensive breakfast, trying to be somewhat "out there" however from my perspective OK at best. I was not able to...

A beautiful hotel in copenaghen, very clean and near the centre, very calm and with comfortably room. We was in three and the room has enough space for everyone, there is a sofa a coffee table and a desk, even the bathroom has everything it needs. The room is very warm and I did not find the heating command The...

The staff is terrific. They went out of their way to make sure everything was better than fine. It is a quirky place I think because the building is so old. My room was noisy especially during the early morning hours, from 5 AM and at times later evening. It may be just the room I was in. Good breakfast...

We had a wonderful Weekend in the Hotel Kong Arthur. The Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The Restaurant and Bar tips were fab (Geist, Pony) and reservations were made without hesitation. Truely a Hotel I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Best aspect is that this hotel is a short walk away from the city centre. Lobby was somewhere you wanted to spend time as it was well designed. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Alexander at the front desk! Rooms were lovely and bright and well laid out, made the rooms feel much larger than they are. Recommend a...

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Kong Arthur is situated right between the beautiful inner lakes of Copenhagen and the buzzing downtown, only 15 min. from the airport by metro. The style is exclusive and modern with a hint of medieval - we call it a mix of rustic and chic. The atmosphere is cozy and informal: A lit fireplace, comfy sofas, pillows in the window sill, a stack of books on the shelves, beautiful courtyards adorned with green plants, cobbles and a unique peacefulness. ... more   less
