I stayed here while attending a conference from 5-10 July 2011. The good points: 1. The hotel is very conveniently located for public transport to and from Kastrup Airport, being about a five-minute walk from Amagerbro Metro station and also on two bus routes. 2. It is walkable from the city centre tourist attractions - about 20-25 mintues to the...

This hotel was too expensive for what it had to offer. We found the hotel staff pretty unpolite. The breakfast is quite poor, just bread, coffee and juice, no yoghurt. The breakfast is served in a bar, where you can also smoke. The hotel is situated a bit far from the centre and the bus is quite expensive. The rooms...

This guest house is funny place in the heart of Amager. The price is about 60 Euros so it is cheap for Copenhagen. The bar downtairs is typical for Amager with "special" locals sitting and smoking, playing cards and beiing Danish. We liked the experience but the rooms ar enothing special and even not like a hotel, but the athmosphere...

I read previous reviews, took the nay-sayers with a grain of salt, and booked a room for three of us. The nay-sayers were all correct: the "reception" area is nothing more than a counter next to the smoky bar which doubles as the breakfast area. At 6:00 p.m., the porter/receptionist was much more interested in getting back to the bar...

Good value hotel, although a 20 min walk to ströget. We stayed for two nights and breakfast was included in the price. Room was clean and cozy with high ceiling and big windows. Guess the rooms we got had a newly renovated bathroom, which was nice. Parking sapce in the street was expensive though. And the small breakfasbuffe was nothing...

First, keep in mind that hotels are just flat out expensive in Copenhagen due primarily to the poor exchange rate. Nothing is inexpensive, including this hotel but it's cheaper than most. It's an old place, but that kind of adds to the charm. Breakfast in the morning is coffee, cold cuts and cereal, nothing special but adequate. The main feature...

Clean, updated rooms in a very old hotel. Conveniently located; safe. Five minute bus ride to Tivoli Gardens, train station, Nyhavn, etc.; very friendly and helpful people; breakfast consisted of fresh coffee, fresh bread, delicious cheeses and cold cuts, jams, cereals, juice. A perfect spot for seeing Copenhagen. Reasonably priced.

Don't stay at this hotel. They will rip you off. They are not very nice people. I called to cancel our reservation and got home to find that they charged me the entire stay. When we called them to cancel, they were very angry. I am trying to email them to solve this problem and they will not reply. I...

Easy to find on Metro line direct to and from airport. Also on good choice of bus routes into central Copenhagen where there are many things to see/do without paying a central location price tag for accomodation. However the basic breakfast in bar area would put off many from returning even though it is now a smoke free area (still retains that...

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
