This is a nice hotel that offers great value for money. The location almost can't get any better in central Copenhagen, and the room had everything you'd expect. It's a bit old and tries to make this work with a "retro 60s" vibe and design, and to a certain extent it does work. Sometimes it just feels a bit old...

A lovely stay at the Alexandra Hotel. The service was very friendly with a complementary glass of wine at night. The room was a bit small but made up with an enormous bed. Having said that the pillow could have been harder for my liking. The location is as good as it gets and the restaurant offeres really tasty food....

This hotel is easily accessible from central staion and centrally located giving one easy walking access to central Copenhagen. Rooms clean, basic but adequate. Found room however to be stuffy and air stagnant. Could open window but too cold, and with window closed no air flow in room. Like many hotels I have experienced this too was unable to give...

Any hotel where you get offered a glass of wine when you come in on your way to bed is worth visiting in my book! Lovely hotel that is in a great location, very near the station, the Tivoli and all the sights, with a stylish decoration full of very cute little details everywhere, and a staff that is extremely...

We loved this hotel. It is a 10 minute walk from Central station and very easy to find walking straight passed Tivoli gardens. We were welcomed in the lovely reception which is impecably designed and were given a room on the first floor. We were given an excellent city map and downloaded the Hotel Alexandra app which was an excellent...

What I loved: - Ideal location in the city centre, only minutes' walk from the Central station (20 mins to the airport by train). - Beautiful, high quality and considered design with a focus on sustainability. - Exceptionally warm service from the front desk, offering us wine on the house, fruit and providing slippers with us in advance. - Good...

The lobby deserves a spesial mention : it looks like a study room filled with table books and magazines.

This hotel is a relatively short walk from Tivoli Gardens and the main shopping area, and is next to a fast food restaurant in case of late night munchies. The room was decorated nicely if not excessively stylishly (as some of the reviews had suggested). I'd heard in advance of residents being offered wine by receptionists in the evening but...

We had a brilliant stay in this hotel. The decor is exceptional. Our room looked out to a fairly busy road but the windows were triple glazed so we only heard the odd siren or two. The room was clean an relatively spacious. The only small thing which let the room down was the bathroom which was pretty basic.

Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Probably the only spot on Earth where you can sit in, rest in, sleep in and admire so many pieces of Danish mid-century vintage furniture. Hotel Alexandra is a small, authentic, boutique hotel in Copenhagen - just around the corner of the City Hall Square, the Latin Quarter, the main shopping area and Tivoli Garden. Hotel Alexandra has over the past years collected a large collection of the world famous Danish mid-century vintage furniture and decorated the rooms with them. The rooms also have textiles, wallpapers and other gems that take you back in time to experience living like the design loving Danes did it in the 50’s and 60’s. As soon as you step into the Hotel Alexandra, you step into a time bubble – you can relax in the lobby, where during evening hours you can put on your favourite vinyl record from our selection, enjoy a free glass of wine and take a moment to take a closer look at one of our many designer books from our lobby library, all the while being surrounded by the finest Danish designer furniture. ... more   less
