I stayed in the room with no window and shared bathroom because the photos looked interesting. Well the room really looks like that. It felt like a warm snuggly cave and the air was so very fresh inside the room. The bed was super comfortable. Everyday breakfast was amazing and it was nice to get free coffee in the reception...

When I made the reservation by e-mail I was expecting to stay in one of the nice bricks rooms pictured on the website. Nobody told me that the hotel actually has 4/5 m2 rooms in the underground, with no windows and bunk bed so small that my boyfriend, who is 192cm tall could barely fit in it. Basically a cage...

Nice hotel with, yes, tiny rooms in a basement with no windows, but if you're out venturing in Stockholm, it's no problem. There's free coffee and tea, umbrellas for when it's raining, breakfast included, really friendly service and a central location with lots of shops, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. And for a really low price in Stockholm. Excellent!

Again a very nice stay at Rex. Even though I had to move rooms a total of 4 times. The hotel is close to the city center, it's comfortable and the breakfast is nice. I always recommend others to stay here.

This is the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, but it was still doable (just) without going crazy! My basement room was a windowless cabin (see photo) and it was like being on a ship. There is a couple of small communal areas where you could have a chat or a coffee which was good. Breakfast was buffet...

Rooms are really small, you can find out reading 10 comments. But for the price and location it's really great deal, breakfast is incredible and so many options to choose from, wifi worked great and they even have coffee at any time

Flat pillows and the room was expansive regarding what you get... I think you can find bettet low budget hotels if you want to save money. But the hotel has a very good location and the room was quiet. And the breakfast was good.

Although the room was small and had no windows (we already knew that) we were really happy with the quality and staff at the hotel. It is located aprox. 20 minutes walking from the old city center. Breakfast was very good and they offered a great food assortment.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
