Very good location. Convenient to public transportation. It was nice to be in a neighborhood and we were able to wonder around and participate in local evening activities. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Short walk to old town and churches. This is a tiny family hotel with about a dozen rooms on the ground floor of a townhouse. The room was...

Stayed for two nights. Was not sure about the quality of the hotel, but it has been a very positive stay. We were three persons in one room. Totally ok size, big bathroom. Clean, great location, friendly staff. The breakfast is not bad at all, take into count that this is a bed and breakfast place, not å hotel. Would...

Second time I go to Stockholm and stay here. Yes, the hotel is very small but this is what I like in it. This time they send me sms with door code. This is really cool and convenient. I was dreaming about this blanket with moose ))) The bed is soft and cozy. I sleep very well everytime though I...

Hotel Söder has a great location for Stockholm. I knew that rooms were small and half a flight of stairs underground so I shouldn't expect much. The price was very affordable and the location is great. The rooms were small but the bed was comfortable, the tv big and the free wifi worked excellently. The bathroom was good. A simple...

After reading previous reviews we were not sure what to expect. However we were pleasantly surprised although the rooms are small both the room and en-suite were spotlessly clean. There was a good selection of both hot and cold food for breakfast. The TV worked well although I didn't use the wi fi connection I saw several other people using...

I wouldn't call myself picky or spoiled when it comes to hotel experiences. I don't mind unusual solutions or simple breakfasts, but I expect some kind of relevance to the price I pay. This hotel is definitely not good value for money. Apart from being ridiculously small, to the extent that you can hardly turn around in there or place...

I have been traveling all over the world. This was the smallest room I have lived in ever! I was there with my family to see Paul McCartney at Globen. The venue was very close. That was why we chose this hotel. It was clean, we had a friendly receptionist and a good breakfast. But if you go to Stockholm...

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
