Neighbourhood
Norrmalm
Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest neighborhood. It’s home to the main shopping street, Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most traditional department stores Nordiska Kompaniet and Åhléns City juxtaposed with Stockholm’s most modern shopping mall, Mood Stockholm. Visitors to this area get to experience the unique Swedish philosophy of protecting cultural heritage while also staying on top of fashion innovation and modern architecture.

Stayed in this hotel for during my business trip, but wouldn’t choose it for vacation. Rooms on the pictures look much bigger then in reality. It looks like bathroom needs some renovation. Also I didn’t get the point with mirrors all over the bathroom. Was it idea to make the

The restaurant and dining area is the highlight. The rooms are nice and clean, but the view from the rooms is not interesting. The location is really good to wander around, especially if you are on a short day trip. Nice stay!

Hi & thanks for your answer. I've stayed at Berns 4 times in the past few years...my son used to work there. I'm in the city again right now ( not staying at Berns though), went there for Sunday buffet yesterday and feels like the whole atmosphere has changed. I've had some great times at Berns, seen gigs there too and loved every minute of my visits, however word in the city says that it's not the same place as it once was....sad really & shame you didn't get to see Berns as it used to be!
