Wow...just wow! I could go on and on about the beautiful, quaint feel of this hotel! Stayed here for a week while touring the city and LOVED the experience! First off, front staff is super friendly. Room was very spacious for European standards and had great views of the city. Breakfast was amazing! The location is good...you can walk to...

Hotel reservation online went quickly. Checkin was quick and efficient. Note that if you do the express checkout after your stay you can just drop your keys and get the invoice send to your email. Rooms are relatively small, but clean and amendities are there. Bathroom is quite small as well. Location wise: in the center of Stockholm, so you...

Stayed in the hotel as attending a conference there. Otherwise would not choose this place. All basics in place, no more. My room was small and dark, bathroom even too tiny. In dark Nordic evenings the lack of good room lightning was annoying.

I stayed at the Birger Jarl for 2 weeks in June as part of a study abroad group. I found the hotel to be a hidden gem off of the typical tourist strips but short walk to a tube station to get almost anywhere in town. Loved the breakfast each morning. The room had a typical IKEA/ Swedish decor, but...

Good breakfast, good room (bathroom could do some some little updates but was ok). Breakfast buffet is in a crowded space and hard to fill up by staff but otherwise many tables for customers. Bar staff could be just a little more attentive. Wifi works well.

I attended a conference here in November. When I arrived I had a very small room (which was fine) but a very loud fan buzzing in the bathroom. I phoned to reception and they changed (and upgraded my room) which was good. I didn't sample the breakfast but the conference food was nice enough, not amazing but ok. It was...

This hotel has a great location, but sadly my experience was tarnished by a room that was very worn and had an odour about it. Tiny shower. The hotel also lists minibar as an amenity, please stock it with more than two bottles of mineral water if you wish to do so. Helpful staff, ok food.

I stayed here with a friend for a weekend trip. The location of the hotel is great. It's situates between the old city centre and the business area. The rooms are good, the staff is friendly and there is free wifi. The only downside is that the breakfast is very busy. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who visits...

Nice hotel, the only downside was that my room was close to the elevator - so as soon as people started heading to breakfast the "ding-dong" of the elevators woke me up. It was easy and close to get around...only about 10 min walk to drottningsgata, one of the main shopping street.

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
