This was our second visit to the Rival in Stockholm, Sweden. We first stayed 7 years ago and although we have been back to Stockholm several times to visit family, this trip included a Christmas treat and so we opted for Rival. We were here...More

Central location, walking distance to the centre

Stockholm has many wonderful hotel options, but Rival is the best. It's location allows for easy walking across the city, plus great park views for breakfast. The front of house, restaurant, bar, and service staff know everything about the city and are happy to point...More
Lovely, comfortable, top notch hotel, set in the heart of the old town. Easy walk from train station.

This hotel is excellent from start to finish. All the reception staff is great . they are friendly and super helpful. The location is perfect,in the near beautiful Mariatorget square. all this would warrant five stars on its own, but then there's the breakfast ....More
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park
or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
