I was fooled by other reviews saying that the rooms were too small. When I arrived I realized that there are 2 hotels within one, Petite Rex Hotel is 2-star family-run hotel located in the building in the back and the proper Rex Hotel is...More
I had the smallest hotel room I have ever seen, no where to put the suitcase, the TV couldn't be seen from the bed so the only way to watch TV was to sit in front of it at a distance of like 30cm... The...More

Dear HAD 035,
Thanks for your review. From your description of the room I feel very uncertain, because I cannot recognize what you have written. Could it have been a grave mistake here and that you have reviewed the wrong hotel. I have again personally...More
During 2010 I stayed at Rex on average one night per week, it was like my second home and I love the place. Friendly staff, clean and nice rooms as well as a great location. It is cheaper than their sister hotel Hellsten, but for...More
Located pretty central in Stockholm, featuring friendly staff, very small but comfortable and newly renovated rooms. Didn´t like the pillow, it was way too soft for me.
Nice breakfast with the usual:coffee/tea, eggs, bread with selection of toppings, juice, yoghurt and musli.

Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s
actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.

Take either the Arlanda Express or the Fly Bus to Stockholm's Central Station. The bus is much cheaper, but takes longer. From there you can either walk of take the Underground (T-Bana) to the Rådmansgatan stop, which is what I did. From there it's only a short walk to the hotel.
