This hotel seems to be "THE" place to be on the weekends. During the week it is very quiet and the restaurant/bar close at 9PM. The rooms are very basic and smallish. I was happy to find extra pillows in the closet. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. I would recommend booking some tours for almost every day...

We had 3 nights stay here, and get ourselves a mini suite that comes with a sauna inside the room which is awesome. What we like most is the location, there is supermarket just opposite the property and souvenir shops and restaurants are all nearby. Staffs are friendly especially Elina, she helps you with smile. We love her. Breakfast was...

I stayed in October; first for 2 nights and then later for another 2 nights. Both rooms were small-ish but very comfortable. The bathroom was a very small wet room, this was the only downside of staying here. A big shout out to the very helpful Receptionist Elvira. She made such a difference supplying information and making bookings.

A nice hotel to visit northern lights. Appreciated the receptionist Elina to upgrade our room with a sauna that making us full of warmness. We were very luckily to see the northern lights on the first night just nearby the lake that at the back of the hotel. It was very amusing..

Went solely to see the Northern Lights and we weren't disappointed. Check in was efficient and friendly. Receptionist was especially helpful with advice. Room smelled a little musty but it was clean and everything worked as it should. Bed was comfy and sleep came easy. The restaurant served dinner until 8.00pm and the menu was excellent with several local dishes....

We stayed here for the remainder of our trip to the north. It's quiet, with only a few families and tourists around. We absolutely loved the silence. It's right opposite an S-Mart, so you have all the groceries/convenience purchases you want. Staff was very friendly and professional and incredibly helpful, aiding us in planning our day excursions and activities. Rooms...

The Hotel Kultahippu is a lovely little three star nestled at the junction between Utsjoki and Norway to the north and the Russian border to the west. We elected to stay here a night prior to going on our northern lights adventure and the hotel served its purpose perfectly. There is a supermarket across the road for any essentials and...

Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear your hotel stay didn't meet your expectations. Just wanted to let you know, it really is possible to spot Aurora Borealis on our yard, when the sky is clear and there is enough of geomagnetic activity.

Stayed one night at this hotel after visiting Kirkenes at Norway before going to Rovaniemi Finland. Didn't have any expectation as it was just a stop during our en routes from Norway to Finland. Very helpful and friendly front desk. We stayed at family room. The room has its own sauna, sofa, coffee table, study desk at the ground floor,...

A mixed bag for a three star three hundred kilometers north of the arctic circle its not bad. The food is either lovely or terrible depending who works in the kitchen. We had one really good and one disastrous meal. The rooms are fine but there appear to be noise issues at weekends. What makes the place stand out is...
