Best price-quality rate! Offers hostel type dorms, twin rooms and family rooms. Quiet with a friendly staff. An old brick building (an old school..?) with thick walls. The Suomenlinna Island is worth a visit around the year. The ferry is a nice plus, they run 1-2x/hour from early morning to late night. The hostel is only a 2 min walk...

Thank you for your feedback :) The house actually was originally built as an old elementary school in 1908. Welcome again any time! -Petra-

This hostel is located on the island of Suomenlinna, near the docks. The ambient is extremely calm for such a touristic area, and the prices for night are OK. The rooms are what you expect for the price, with lots of people but that is not a problem. The only drawback is that the reception hours are not long and...

I only booked here because it was the cheapest option I could find at short notice and I'm really glad it worked out that way. The ferry to Suomenlinna was easy to find from the train station. I was able to check in early and found the staff to be super helpful and friendly. It's a small hostel but it...

This hostel was fairly cheap. Uniquely located in a small island which is one of top tourist destination in Helsinki. The room and bathroom was clean. Don't worry with the access, as the boat ready to serve you till midnight.

I spent 1 night at the dorm room here. It was very enjoyable. For me, the best part of this hostel is the location. The feeling that you're staying on an island separated by (although it's only) a 15-minute ferry ride but still inside the capital area was quite interesting. It's more calm and peaceful. Plus, you can take a...

Spent a good night staying here. Very easy to get to and from using the ferry from the market place. Hostel was simple, but clean, bright, with friendly staff and good shared dorm room. Big communal space to relax / for breakfast. Perfect to start from if you are wanting a tour of this fortress island, I had a very...

I enjoyed staying here! It was very quiet during my stay but I met plenty of people just being on this gem of an island. There are a handful of cafes and bars to stop in, and many people spend the day out here anyway to have a cool picnic. But if you don't want to stay on the island...

This is a great hostel, as long as you aren't expecting to party. After a long trip, this was my last stop and the quiet Suomenlinna Hostel was exactly what I wanted. I'd definitely go here again. Don't be put off by the location from Helsinki- even in the "low" season there are multiple ferries each hour and it leaves...

Booked this place solely based on the location and of course the reviews of the hostel itself. The ferry ride from the Market Square was shorter than expected, a mere 12 minute ride. To me this place offered the best of two worlds, staying in a quiet scenic place and at the same time being very close to the city...
