We had a business retreat for 16 people from all over the world. The hotel staff did an excellent job to give us a productive and worry free experience. I want to come back soon for a personal vacation! The conference room is big and has a great view. The food was delicious and they were able to cater to...

Location is great, not so far from Reykjavik. The room very large was on two floors with sofa and tv on the first floor and bed upstairs. We really enjoyed our time over there and for sure we can reccomend it.

After a four-hour hike two kilometers just up to the final hard climb to the top of Esja and down again to the parking area along Route 1, we drove to Hvalfjorder (Whale) Fjord, at 30 kilometers, the longest fjord in southwest Iceland. It was a long trip as we opted not to go by the tunnel under the fjord,...

We drove the Ring Road counter-clockwise, so our stay at Glymur came near the end of our fabulous Iceland adventure, and MAN, did we need it by then. Although we had had a rollicking good time on the road, we were weary of our frantic schedule of moving every night and really needed this respite - both from the road,...

We loved our villa! We found the restaurant to be good, not great. We had better meals while in Iceland but it was great having a kitchen and being able to make our own food with a big fridge. The view in this villa is beautiful... you are at the front with a beautiful view and none of the other...

The hotel is located between mountains and a vast fjord; so the views are superb, beautiful and unique. All building is 1st class with beautiful indoor and outdoor layouts. The whole space is a gallery were we can spend hours exploring different kinds of art, reading a book in the full library, seeing old photography's and historical objects. The decor...

Hotel Glymur is located on the north side of Whale Fjord, overlooking the water and mountains beyond. We stayed in one of their two bedroom villas over looking the Whale Fjord. We didn't really use the self catering facilities as the main hotel provides a great breakfast and superb dinner, the food is fabulous and beautifully presented. The main hotels...

A few years back this hotel was "the best of Iceland".Nowadays it doesn't look like the best. Actually the hotel is in the middle of nothing. There is only fjord in front and church(in walking distance 10 mins). Our room was kind of "duplex",with the bedroom under the roof.Room was hot and when we opened windows we got all smells from...

We stayed 2 nights at hotel. We liked it overall. Friendly staff. Nice to have 2 jacuzzis available with nice view. Food at the restaurant is good, but service is not the best. We had 2 dinners and both times we had to wait long time for dishes to be served. Breakfast is great. If you have room on second...

After making our reservation 6 months ago and traveling from Portland, Oregon (7.5 flight hours), we got the worse room in the hotel. Lovely view of gravel path, no water view, nothing. We are so disappointed. Room is dated and staff is stuffy. When we inquired if we could change we were informed that 6 months ago (when we made...
