There are some houses in a same place. We stayed the main house where the owner stay. The owner are not able to speak English well. We shared bathrooms which was clean and big enough. We had to pay in cash but we did not receive the information. We were confused, the owner changed her attitude haughty and we are...

We stayed in a cabin (like the one pictured). As one previous reviewer said, you do need to pay cash but Solla was great in letting us check in and then get cash in town.The location is great with mountain and water views! The cabin was clean and bright. You do need to make your bed and clean the cabin...

I reall enjoyed the cottage feeling. Everything was clean and quite, the lady which owns the two cottages was very nice. You have to pay cash, the only facility in iceland where I could'nt pay with my creditcard, but no problem for me. it is a great spot to stay on the way to the sneafellsnes peninsula or maybe even...

Nice guesthouse and within short driving distance to Akranes downtown where you could have a great dinner (ask host for restaurant recommendation). It's situated just beside the mountain and as such the view is great. We booked a double room and the host was kind enough to upgrade us to their standalone summer house which is GREAT! Full toilet/bath/kitchen facilities...

Only two cottages available, a good rest is guaranteed as there is privacy. The lovely cottage had a fantastic shower, nice kitchen and spacious sitting area. We had to put on the bedding ourselves though which the sleeping area (behind curtains) was filled with mattresses and cushions. It was a struggle as it was quite squeezy. No breakfast available, so...
