We stayed here for three nights as part of a Gate1 tour of Iceland. Very friendly and helpful workers at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Smallish dim lit room, bathroom, closets, and amenities in the room. The one big plus is the location of the hotel. As with other hotels...

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights as part of a Flybus tour of Northern Iceland. Like many other Icelandic hotels the standard is not as good as in other parts of Europe so do not expect this hotel to come with all the trimmings you might expect from a similar star rating elsewhere. Hotel KEA is perfectly situated in the heart of Akureyri. Everything of interest is in a walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I like having a coffee pot in the room as much as I like going over the street for s coffee at the bookstore. The staff is helpful and nice. I prefer to stay at this...

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel - the safe was great and the location was above expectations. Walking distance from everything in the center of town and the harbor. There is a bar/restaurant on premise and a great coffee shop right across the street.

Stayed for 4 nights in a twin room. Very comfortable, room was a good size as was the bathroom. Breakfast spread was great with plenty of variety. The happy "hour" (4-6pm) was a welcome way to wind down after a day's work. Also ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is also...

I did my research on hotels.com and Tripadvisor, and Hotel Kea seemed just right for our quick trip from Reykjavik. After a 5-hour drive through magnificent scenery and lava fields, this place serves up a perfect welcome in a gorgeous setting near the waterfront. The smiling staff are quick with check-in and local suggestions. Many rooms overlook the modest center...

I had a nice stay at Hotel Kea for three nights. Basic accommodations in the single room but just fine for one person. The hotel itself is very nice. The breakfast is quite a spread and I enjoyed it very much. Service- very good. I was only supposed to stay for two nights. When I found out my flight back...

Great place right in the middle of things. Parking all over and free during the night. Eat in the lounge, not the formal restaurant. Bigger choice and better food. Staff is excellent and happy hour (2 for 1) runs everyday.

This is the best hotel in town. The location can't be beat, you can easily walk anywhere in town. The rooms and bathrooms are large, and the restaurant is terrific. Their Christmas dinner was fantastic - lobster soup, smoked trout, lamb and chocolate cake - delicious. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
