We were booked in for 4 nights by our travel agent but we checked out after 2 nights. The rooms are fine, small but modern and clean however, the en-suite shower room is very, very small. The best part of our stay were the beds. The mattresses were conducive to a good nights sleep and when we stayed it was...

The accommodation was reasonable, but basic. It is in a remote location and set at the base of a mountain. Primary reason for 2 star review is the dinner. There was no choice on the menu, the food was poor and the price was extortionate.

Cute town with turfed roof church. There is limited accommodation in the area. No lift to the rooms on the first floor so bit of a pain carrying suitcases up. No en suite bathroom. Dinner very expensive for what you get (assume due to remote location). Overall not quite worth it for the price but pretty setting and everyone was...

We enjoyed 1 night accommodation here at Hof 1. The room was cosy and clean, it was nice to have a sink but the walls are paper thin. We ate at the restaurant which is very overpriced and not worth the value or cost.... I would suggest Freynses 15km down the road for half the price, double the value. Breakfast...

We stayed here after the vatnajokull national park. The hotel has a small kitchen. The rooms are an ok size but the top floor has shared bathrooms. Only 2 bathrooms. We had to wait a while to be able to use the them. It doesn't have a lift at all so was difficult to carry our suitcases after 6 hours...

We stayed here for a night on our 10 day tour of the ring road. The check in went very smoothly, the rooms were clean and the shared bathroom facilities as well. The only minus was the breakfast - a bit poor compared to other hotels and guesthouses we stayed at in Iceland.

We had a nice stay there for a night in a cleaned and quiet room in a nice surrounding. Being able to have a bath in a spa while getting around iceland is also very pleasant even though the hot tub was .... dirty. The breakfast was OK. The prices there are still absolutely high but its one of the...

We stayed here for two nights, and we had a very pleasant stay. Kind and helpfull staff. Daily fresh towels, good beds, free wifi and a variety of breakfast-choices included in the price. There was a hot tub (non bubbling), a sauna and some hot showers downstairs. Everything you need indeed. Couple of negatives were that there was a limited...

If you're wanting to stay in this part of Iceland, there aren't many options. We stayed here as it was fairly close to the Glacier Lagoon (~30 minutes or so away), and it worked great for that. There were a few drawbacks. We had a room with a shared bath, and even in winter, we had trouble getting use of...

Stayed here for 3 nights in February. The location is convenient and easy driving distance to Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon, Skaftafell and Vatnajokull national park. Room were a decent size and clean. Good wifi. There is a hot tub and sauna but unfortunately they were both cold. Breakfasts and dinners good. Would stay again.
