Haven't been there in winter, although in speaking with our guide, they don't get a lot of snow, even though it's cold so I'd assume snow shouldn't be an issue. Also, the roads are very good and well kept up.

Like others have said. It is a long drive in and off on its own. Having said that, there are things to see on the drive in, such as Iceland's largest geothermal plant, and Hraunfossar Waterfall itself is worth the drive in... More

There were kettles, but no tea bags or instant coffee in the room. We had to go down to the reception area and ask for them.
