Great, clean, comfortable, and affordable place to rest our heads in Reykjavik. We rented a car and had no problem finding free parking in surrounding areas. One night we asked for recommendations on where to eat and we felt like a nuisance and didn't get any response. Overall, would stay again. We stayed in a private double and it was...

The hostel itself was clean, good location, good amenities, and friendly staff. Considering most things seem a bit pricey in Iceland I opted to purchase food at a local grocery and cook my own meals at the hostel. Small grocery located 3 min walk from hostel and another in the center. The open kitchen dining area behind the hostel was...

Great experience!, It is a good, clean place with a super ubication. it's just 5 minutes walk from docks, to see northen lights and whales, and the staff is always glad to help, Maybe the only thing to go better is they don't have lockers if you check out and need to leave your luggage more time

My 2nd stay at Reykjavik Downtown Hostel, the welcome was warm and friendly as my prior trip. My room perfect, the breakfast extrordinary. The location is perfect and close to my favorite things including the local pool. BUT what completely sets this Hostel Apart from any other is their Humanity during my Health Crisis! My last morning and 6 hrs...

Exactly what it looks like the pictures. I stayed in a 10 bed female dorm which has tonnes of space. Reykjavik is small and this hostel is right in the heart of downtown. Easily walk to food places, the church and the harbour. Don't get the breakfast, you can find more food for your money close by or buy your...

Great and low cost accommodations. The bunck room was clean and I loved the group kitchen! I arrived before check-in and the staff held my bags and gave me access to the kitchen space so I could rest.

We loved the clean design of the hostel. Stayed in a double room with private bathroom on the 3rd floor. Nice view down to the marina, good black-out shades for the late night sun, nice cozy duvet, good water pressure with lots of hot water in the showers, clean place. The check-in and out were efficient and Thomas at the...

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent for the price (Reykjavik is expensive to begin with though, in my opinion). I stayed in a 10 bed dorm and the one bathroom for that was not ideally arranged, since there would be long queue during mornings when everyone needs it at the same time.

This hostel is a lot nicer than many of the budget hotels we have stayed in. It is super clean and comfortable with spacious rooms. The beds are very comfortable with regular mattresses. It is very quiet, so we got a great sleep. The bathroom has been updated with nice fixtures. The staff is really nice. Breakfast was excellent. The...

Dear CKT, Thanks for staying with us. One of the gifts of nature to Iceland is our geo-thermal energy, so we really your comment: "The heating system kept us toasty warm"! :) The second position goes to the Northern Lights! All the best, Thomas - Head of Reception

I stayed in the Downtown Hostel for one night. I was serving as the scout for a group of nine people, so I arrived a day early and scoped out the town. Thomas at the front desk was super helpful in giving me tips on places to eat and sights to see. He helped me with the map and saved...
