Once you arrive in Iceland, you will have a great time including staying at the Flying Viking. It is centrally located. For example: It is an easy walk from the Fly bus central terminal, if you use them (I would only recommend them for tours not for the airport shuttle, but that is another story). It took us no more... More

We stayed at the Flying Viking for one night before exploring further in Iceland. Accommodation is expensive in Reykjavik, but the Flying Viking is central. We had a simple yet functional room. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. There is a shared bathroom on each floor. It was clean and well kept. The only annoyance was the... More

I spent 2 nights in studio A. Very clean but very basic. Studio has 2 single and 2 bunk beds and would work well for a group of 4. Limited power outlets and only ceiling lighting but price and location make it a winner. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We were three people and knew there was a shared bathroom. Our large room was comfortable and there is a good cooking facility for those intending to shop at Bonus and cook. Walking to the places of interest was our goal.

We recently visited the Flying Viking Guesthouse and in terms of location it is perfect. Parking was not a huge issue as we were able to find a spot directly in front of the guesthouse and only had to pay 100 Korona for an hour (parking is free from 6:00 pm-9:00 am and Sundays). We had a large spacious room... More

We stayed here for two nights in September, the guesthouse is warm and clean with good facilities. All facilities are shared. Our room was ok, the beds were comfortable and clean. Some parts of the house need a little maintenance (like door handles replacing). The location is great through. Really close to the city centre. There is no parking provided.... More

I just stayed 2 nights here with 2 friends in a triple room with 3 twin beds and it was such a nice place to begin our trip in Iceland. The room was spacious, clean and his large windows for maximal light. The shared bathroom was very clean with good hot water. The shared kitchen downstairs was one of the nicest... More

This place is in a wonderful location right near the city center. It's very clean, and quiet. The bathrooms are all shared, but even when the place is fully booked there will not be much of a wait. The kitchen and common room are very clean and pleasant too.

Overall, I would describe this place as more of a hostel rather than a guest house. The room we stayed in was big and was clean; it is also very centrally located and within walking distance to many points of interest within Reykjavík. In terms of drawbacks, there was only one bathroom on our floor which made it sometimes difficult... More

Great place to stay. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. Shower was lovely and modernized. The location was perfect, very central to anything you wanted to see in Reykjavik. Large common area with fridge and cooking appliances. Hair dryer in the bathroom too. Note: Sound carries quite well through the building. The hardwood floors are nice to look at... More
