We stayed here for 3 nights. The apartment is pretty close to the centre. It was difficult to find at night. It was also too small for a family of four. And we could hear the neighbors. But is was clean and the furniture was modern and good in shape.

Loved our apartment at Grettisborg. We were able to cook breakfast and have coffee in the mornings. The location simply couldn't be better. We walked everywhere in town - right in main shopping area and grocery options nearby. Parking was also easy. Perfect!

A 5-day trip to Iceland with 2 Kids and appartment no. 2. The appartment is on the ground floor and a bit down. Just in the hallway. Meaning that every time the main door opens you hear it. You get used to it. But combined with the laundry just opposite and noise from above Its too much. For 4 persons...

See screenshot of my Booking.com review Apt.#1 & #2. We paid €211/ night for this apartment & got next to no service. PROS: Good location altho' I would stay on the "other side" closer to the Harbour/ The Pearl/ Micro Brew Bar. This side of town a bit too close to hostels & bars frequented by young, wild "yahoos" ....

I was invited to be in Reykjavik for the week as the guest of the Iceland Academy of the Arts. My hosts booked a studio apartment in the Grettisborg Apartments, a short walk to the Academy and 2 blocks fro the main shopping street, an excellent location for anyone wishing not to be in a hotel. My studio apartment had...

Less than a five minute walk down to the beautiful seafront with the most amazing views of the mountains in the distance. Modern apartment with plenty of room. The apartment was fairly clean but could of done with a few more utensils and...

These apartments are ideally located close to the main shopping street, restaurants, bars and the harbour area. They are on a very quiet street and Flybus and Excursion Trips offer a pick up and drop off at the apartments. We were there over the weekend so we did not experience any noise from the nearby building work but we found...

Stayed here in March 2016. The apartments are great location wise and basic but clean. Encountered two problems though will dampened our trip... we were unable to contact anyone for queries or check in whilst we were there and due to building works we were woken up every morning from about 7.30am with loud drilling and knocking... so probably won't...

Visited in January and had a wonderful stay - the owner was fantastic and kept in contact to ensure a hassle free arrival and offered advice prior to arrival Location was good and the accommodation itself was great - clean and very warm. We only visited for 2 nights and it wasn't long enough - we will be back!

Couldn't fault the location of Grettisborg apartments. They are right in the heart of Reykjavik and just in front of Laugavegur (the main street). Tour buses and the airport shuttle will pick up and drop off from right outside the apartment too so its really convenient. The apartments themselves are well maintained, clean and have everything you should need for...
