I checked in here after having a HORRIBLE experience at another Hostel called The Loft. The staff is friendly and professional. I especially recall ´Laura' a beautiful Icelandic woman that did everything she could to accommodate me.Highly recommend staying here....swing by the Drunk Rabbit after for a pint at an awesome Irish Pub. There is also some great shopping nearby...

perfect location for seeing the city, we had a corner room on the 5th floor with a charming outlook on all sides. good temperature control in the room, light and airy with plenty of space (it was a superior double room) and was very happy until the "duff duff" music started outside and when it finally stopped the screaming drunks...

We stayed on New Year's Eve, and as there is a night club next door the bass of the music went on till 4am. Given the day, it didn't bother us, but it's hard to gauge whether it would be loud on other days - so just heed this warning that there is a club next door. The rooms were...

our room faced the street and right across from a club that stayed open very late. Otherwise, very centrally located but so are many other hotels without the same noise issue. Breakfast was okay, nothing special - basic offerings.

Great location, right in the centre of town. This does mean on Friday and Saturday nights the rooms are very noisy as there is a bar directly below. Recommend to ask for a room higher up and not facing main street (although still expect noise). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, everything is walking distance and it's...

Originally I read the reviews and there were a few about the noise level. I emailed a few times to ensure that I got a top room which faced the back - no reply. On arrival the staff could not have been more considerate and courteous. I did want a bath in my room so we were re located the...

Extremely loud on weekends due to bar next door. They gave us ear plugs which helped! No issue on weekdays. Otherwise great location and very friendly & helpful staff. Rooms were nothing fancy but fine.

Thank you for your review. Our Staff is more than happy to help you. As we're on the middle of the Center of Reykjavik, sometimes the Icelandic Night life can be a problem to our guests, we apologise for it.

Nice spot- only problem is the bar next door can get a little loud. Clean room. Friendly staff. Near a ton of bars, restaurants and cafes. very modern. the water smelt funny but it does in all of iceland.

We called the front desk at 2am to complain about the noise. The front desk host was outside with the partiers. He made a call and said same problem as usual. He called a taxi and moved us in the middle of the night to a hotel 20 minutes away from downtown. We arrived at the hotel at 3am Part...

Dear Guest, Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your experience at City Center Hotel. The Receptionist on duty has few tasks out of the reception area during the night shift but they are always carry the reception mobile phone which is conneceted to the doorbell and our reception number. It's very unfortunate that your experience at...

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately that's where the good stuff ends. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights and our room was on the 'nightclub side'. I understand there's nothing the hotel can do to curtail the noise of neighbouring establishments. Maybe only sell these rooms to people intent on visiting the...
