We stayed here for 12 nights as I was leading one of my "The Traveling Professor" small group tours to Iceland. We traveled with one group of 15 travelers for 5 nights, and a few days later hosted another group of 15 travelers. There are several things to be liked about this hotel. First of all, the location is just...

The hotel is in a great location. It's quiet yet near everything. The rooms are cute. I stayed in a single on the fourth floor. There is cool artwork everywhere. The staff was so helpful. They helped me rebook a cancelled trip. Great place.

Holt Hotel is an easy walk to the city center. It is filled with sculptures, paintings and prints done by artists who were beneficiaries of an art lover who supported them in their endeavors. The lovely young woman at the desk was especially helpful, and all staff people were pleasant and attentive. Our room was perfect for our several day...

Hotel was comfortable and clean. We had a room at the back of the building on the second floor. Not much of a view. The breakfast was good. If there is a way to keep the softboiled eggs warm, that would have been great.

Wonderful location, service and accommodations . Not a big impersonal chain hotel! Great breakfast, bar and restaurant on site, and a must see collection of art by Icelandic artists. It is on a quiet residential street yet only blocks to all the sites, shops and restaurants.

Location, location, location - short walk to city center, shopping, attractions, restaurants, etc... and surrounded by embassies which makes an interesting stroll in itself. Decor - the artwork by itself is a must see. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, stop in to see the artwork. If you are a guest of the hotel, ask for an art...

Comfortable small hotel, great location - less than 10 minute walk to centre. Staff excellent, knowledgable and helpful particularly Ragnar. Buy your drinks in happy hour between 4 and 7 daily. Restaurant super expensive. Great breakfast. We travel the world and would recommend this hotel. Bus from airport will take you to door and pick you up. We used Flybus....
