Great location only a five minute walk away from the Main Street. Lovely hotel with very helpful staff and a delicious breakfast. Trips can be organised through the hotel reception who are more than happy to help & had excellent recommendations & knowledge of the area. Nice touch with the selection of toiletries in the room too!

Very good in-house restaurant with great staff and chef. Very good location. Good breakfast. Brilliant art collection in all public rooms, and in bedrooms. But the hotel was let down by a tiny room, which was more akin to a motel.

Central hotel in quiet location with free parking. Friendly and very helpful reception staff. Extremely clean bedrooms/bathroom. Breakfast perfectly adequate, although nothing outstanding. May be more staff at breakfast is needed to avoid clutter of plates on table. Very nice bar and lounge area with comfortable seating. Kerbside appeal? New entrance carpet would be a good idea. Would I stay...

The walk to Laugavegur street with all the shops and restaurants is 4 blocks. The BSI bus terminal is a 10 minute walk. BSI is where all the airport and hotel transport buses go to or from the airport. The hotel is filled with art collected by the owner.

Stayed in a junior suite. Room clean and functional - plenty of seating, desk, sofa, tea/coffee making facilities, shower. Bed comfortable, room warm. Good view overlooking Reykjavik. 20 mins walk to the harbour, 5 mins walk to The Pond. Breakfast ample - bacon, eggs, bread, toast, croissant, ham, cheese, fruit, tea/coffee, cereals, yoghurt. Did not try the evening meal -...

The hotel is located very close to downtown Reykjavik, and very convenient. Hotel staffs are generally good, breakfast is good too and enough. The facility reminds us this hotel is very old and historical, but the room is very clean and updated. It's quite general that the prices of everything are very high in Iceland, therefore, I just felt the...

My husband & I spent 5 nites at Hotel Holt in Reykjavik. Although it was expensive, like almost everything in Reykjavik, & the rooms were pretty small, this is a really nice hotel for a stay in the city; close to everything, we walked everywhere. The rooms we had were very comfortable, & the buffet breakfast was quite nice. The...
