This hotel is very nice with large rooms and comfortable, but the location is a little far removed from the downtown area and restaurants/bars. The weather was cold, wet and windy during my stay and I did not have a car so it was a little too far to walk downtown in the elements. If you want to be able...

Pulled up outside and was a bit disappointed - however the welcome was lovely, the character room for two ladies sharing was spacious, clean and comfortable. A walk out the first afternoon made it clear we were central with walking access to shopping, bars and restaurants. It's simple bar has happy hour 5-7 which is really the only time you...

The Foss Hotel is one of a group of four. Check-in and out was quick and efficient. Good, clean and warm accommodation - bedding changed daily. Reception and Bar are at the same location, yet suffice as such. Breakfast is buffet style with a great range of food all fresh and tasty. Service is efficient. Location is pretty central to...

Clean and comfortable room. Good buffet style breakfast for all diets. Very close to shops, restaurants and bars. Breakfasts only, no restaurant, small lobby which is also bar and lounge.. Would be happy to stay again.

We stayed at this hotel 9th March for four nights. We were very happy with the hotel, the rooms were clean and warm, our room had a fridge, although we had to switch it off in the night as it was noisy! The room next door where our friends were staying didn't have one. The breakfasts were good, and the...

Its centrally located within walking distance to the shopping streets. rooms are smallish , basic but clean. hot water from the tap had a slight tinge of sulfur. staff were reasonably friendly. Double rooms are actually 2 twin beds joined together. We were out most of the time. On both night we stayed we were out to see the Northern...

The location of the hotel, the parking, and breakfast were all great aspects of the hotel. We also found the bartender to be very helpful and kind. He gave us great recommendations and answered our questions better than the others at the front desk who seemed to be disinterested. However, our room was incredibly dirty. The sheets and pillow cases...

Stayed for 5 nights from 22nd Feb and had a great time. The hotel is very comfortable, nice rooms (good heating in rooms which helps when you've been 'playing' in the snow and have damp clothes! ). Fabulous breakfast, lots of choice, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, different breads, ham, cheeses, cucumber & tomato, fish, biscuits, cakes, scrambled eggs, sausages and beans....

Nice basic hotel with everything one could need, All of the staff were very helpful and friendly , they helped with everything we asked for even though a lot of our requests were not hotel related, e.g. trips, language and transfers etc, I emailed requests prior to arrival all of these had been dealt with for us. We didn't have...

The location of the hotel, in a residential area, is only a short walk from Hallgrimskirkja and the main streets with bars and restaurants. We stayed for 5 nights and, after the initial surprise of the soulless room with its challenging spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine bed area, and the constant unpleasant smell of sulphur from the hot water...
