We ended a three week holiday with family in Europe with a stop-over in Iceland to celebrate our 50th anniversary.talked to a very nice lady (A.M.) and booked two rooms at this hotel in March 2015. Arrived on August 25 to find we were on separate floors. One very small room which they call"double/twin" the other had a lumpy sofa... More

This is my third time I stayed in a best western hotel, in 3 different countries. My resumee; Best western stands for trustworthy quality, wherever you go, best western is always a good choice and you can be sure that the quality standard is the same as in other countries. The hotel itself is confortably 300m away from the central... More

The hotel was fine and I would have given a 4 or 5 star review had it not been for the wifi which didn't work in my room. The main complaint was that the general manager came up to my room and said he would get his technician to remedy it straight away. Nothing improved. It was only when checking... More

We stayed there for 4 nights while we explored Iceland. It was clean, everything was in good repair, & the staff were friendly & so helpful. The breakfast was great, good selection & fresh. It was a short (10 min) walk to the center of town. It was quiet, safe neighborhood.

Room was clean, very big-- pretty sure we got upgraded. Friendly service. Walking distance to downtown Reykjavik. Free parking. No wifi in room. Less than 1 hour drive to airport. Would stay here again.

On balance I rate the Best Western Reykjavik quite highly. Whilst there are a few niggling issues and it is beset by the typical high costs of Iceland, however the very friendly, helpful and professional staff and some other positive aspects more thank outweighed the negatives. It is well located, just a twenty minute stroll from the town centre and... More

Stayed in August 2015 with my wife. The location is on the border of the historic downtown, about a 20 minute walk to the center. If the weather is okay, the walk is quite easy. Iceland is amazing to visit. We stayed on the Best Western what wasn't bad at all. However, we struggled a little bit with the size of the bedroom and the smell of the water (apparently the smell is normal in the region). Apart from that breakfast was lovely, not much choice but fresh products. Those are small things that doesn't... More

You don't go to Iceland to waste time in the hotel; it's just a place to sleep and get breakfast. All you need is a comfortable bed in a clean room with some edible stuff in the morning. This hotel manages the basic functions as noted above. Its perhaps not as close to the middle of the town as you... More
