Travelled to Reykjavik in a vain hope to see the Northern Lights. Stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Cabin. The rooms are spotlessly clean but very small and fairly basic. The hotel is outside of the city centre, but there is a bus stop across the road where the buses run into the centre frequently.

Dear Wiltshire_Lass_1974, Thank you for the review and your stay in hotel Cabin. We are glad to know that you liked what hotel Cabin had to offer. Yes the hotel is not in the center but like you said the buses run often and it is only a 20 minute walk along the sea front to get into town. :)...

We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and that's exactly what we got and more because we had a view out to sea with the mountains in view too.(7th Floor). Perfect. The room was a good size with a massive shower to the ensuite. We parked our rented car in the hotel car park and walked the...

Had the misfortune to be allocated one of these rooms at the beginning of a group tour, tiny beds, 2'6" rather than the standard 3ft, barely any space between the two beds, nowhere to put suitcases etc. Altogether a very uncomfortable experience. One of our party was in a room without a window, I.e. a box! No wifi in the...

We stayed here as part of a touring group on the first and last nights of our trip. First night was in standard twin room - ridiculously small. We took it in turns to stand up and get into our suitcases on the bed as no room for both of us to do at the same time - and then nowhere...

Was very surprised with how nice this hotel was! The staff on reception weren't overly friendly, and the breakfast options weren't great, but apart from that the room was lovely (with fantastic views) and the hotel was nice and quiet. It was between a 15-30 minute walk to the main town area, but it was a pleasant walk. There was...

We stayed here one night, booked from the airline as our flight got cancelled due to weather. There was an average diner buffet, we had a quiet, clean room. The breakfast buffet was also just average, like pretty much everything. Perfect place for a night when you just want to sleep.

Just a 15 min walk to Reykjavik's town centre or a few minutes on the bus (which is a must when its been snowing) the Cabin is well located. Theres a subway, inside the garage facing it if you don't fancy the hotel buffet. Having a bar and a shop inside hotel was fantastic! The rooms are VERY basic although spotless....
