OK, lets get the negatives out the way first. The standard rooms are small, in fact tiny, and no tea/coffee facilities either. Suggest an upgrade to a bigger room if your wanting room space to relax or move around. I stayed there with a friend for 4 days. It was a base only and did the job perfectly for a...

I bought a short break for my daughter and myself as we both wanted to experience the Northern Lights. I upgraded our room to a Superior room after reading some reviews, I have not seen a standard room, but our room was great, twin beds, lots of room, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, TV and free WiFi all we wanted....

We stayed at the Hotel Cabin as part of a 4 day package deal. If you know the saying ' no room to swing a cat ' then this is relevant here if you have a standard room. There is no wardrobe, just a couple of very small shelves at the side of your bed. No space in the room...

Hotel is well situated just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Reykjavik. Budget rooms can only be described as petite and bejou, but then you only sleep there, bathroom was clean, towels were changed every day. Check in was effortless but reception can get very busy when coaches are checking in and out. Good plentiful breakfast available in...

This is a budget hotel and doesn't make any false claims. I'd read a variety of reviews and didn't really know what to expect. However, the hotel is nice, clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a single room which was small and basic but fine for a few days stay. It's out of town but...

The hotel is easy to get to from the airport, a 25-30min coach trip which you can book at the airport on arrival or in advance. It cost around 2600 ISK. We arrived at 1am and so were very tired. There were four of us in our group and we booked well enough in advance so that the hotel could...

This hotel is very average, it's very small but it's fine. We had a double room that was at the end of a corridor on the 5th floor - it was quiet (apart from the wind) and I was able to sleep fine. The bathroom was clean and the shower was very powerful. Our toilet seat was not attached correctly...

This hotel is fine as a basic, budget option - you get what you pay for springs to mind. The rooms are small and the TVs are old - but you can get some English speaking channels. We first stayed at the Cabin nearly 14-years ago. Since then it has been extended and 'modernised', and not especially for the best. Our first stay was in a 'standard' room. With no room for two people to walk in the room at the same time we soon realised our mistake. Probably would be an OK choice for a one-night...
