This was great base for solo traveller like myself, it's very close to centre of town near all bars shops, which is exactly what I wanted more of city break on my 2nd visit to the country. I had booked single room will not lie it is small but for solo travellers it's fine for couple of nights, anyways you...

Positives 1. The hotel has free wifi, which seems to work well throughout the hotel. 2. The hotel was always warm, which was nice after coming back from all-day and outdoor trips. 3. The location is ideal, outside an iconic cathedral and central to bars and restaurants. Negatives 1. The room was painted black and the furniture and furnishings are...

A lovely little hotel in the perfect location for a short stay in Reykjavik. Travelling with a friend, we had two single rooms in the Annexe across the street. The rooms were small and basic, with tiny bathrooms, but really we did not need anything else - they were only for sleeping, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms...

Four of us stayed for three nights! Two each in a room. Two of us were in the building across the road but it's not an issue. Rooms are clean, basic but just what you need. The beds were so comfortable! Probably the best sleep I've EVER had! The rooms had tv, hair dryer, radiators which you controlled yourself, plenty...

Plus points- good location, nice breakfast, comfy bed, warm hotel. Negative points- room very small and painted black. Bathroom miniature. No hanging space so had to leave clothes in suitcase. Hotel good for a couple of nights but wouldn't want to stay longer.

Hotel Leifur Eiriksson is a small, comfortable, affordable hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was small and basic, but also very clean, and the perfect temperature. Breakfast came with a reasonable range of food. I would say that there were things for every taste. The location was perfect. We could not get lost due to its proximity...

What a great hotel, it has a warm friendly feel, is family run. The location is ideal to explore the city of Reykjavik. The famous cathedral and statue of Leifur Eiriksson are just opposite the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and filtered water is available 24 hours a day. Nice to get...

We arrived late afternoon, after a four hour flight from Manchester, preceded by a ten hour flight from Mexico. Having luggage for the Mexican heat as well as the Icelandic cold, our bags were particularly heavy. Fourth floor accommodation: stairs only. This was not a good start. Then we were given a dormer room. With 6foot 4inches husband, this was...

The theme is budget tourist accommodations. Room was designed for (small) monks, and the bath/shower only fits tiny people (Icelandic elves?) - e.g., expect the world's smallest bathroom sink (don't try to shave). Otherwise cozy breakfast area and pleasant enough staff. Location is tourist central.
