The hotel is set in a beautiful location - ask for a room facing the church. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The free hot drinks are perfect after a long day exploring the wonders of Iceland and the staff are friendly and approachable. We...More
The Leifur Eiriksson was a special find. It was the only hotel I could find that did breakfast included in the price, which is momentous when Iceland is so expensive. Leifur sits opposite Hallgrímskirkja church in Reykjavík and it's beautiful. Leifur is in a prime...More
6 of us stayed here for 3 nights as part of an Icelandair package. Absolutely ideal.
Opposite the modern cathedral and at the top of a street with a good choice of restaurants.
We had 3 twin rooms on the 3rd floor. Lighting a bit...More

Long weekend in Reykjavik trying to catch the northern lights. Disappointed that the lights didn't make an appearance, but the choice and location of this hotel made the disappointment bearable.
Lovely hotel, small, clean and friendly. The weather was very cold, but the hotel was...More

Hello, I stayed in Reykjavik in November, 2013 and just got back from staying here in August, 2017. The coldest it got in November when I stayed was about the high during the day 51 degrees and about 31 degrees at night. The weather changes there so fast, it could be snowing one minute, then the sun comes out like it never snowed the next minute. The sun rises about 10:30 am and sets around 6:00 pm. The best thing to do is dress in layers. You'll have a great chance of seeing the "Northern Lights" this time of year. But I recommend planning on seeing them at the beginning of your trip in case the weather is not good and they cancel it for that night. In this event, they will move the Northern Lights tour to the next night, which is what happen to us and luckly we had one more night left. If you wait until your last night, you will loose out. It was amazing to see. This past trip I went to the "Ice Cave Glaciers". That is also amazing to see and a must do!

Hi, I don't know if you've already got this sorted but you can book transport when you book your visit to the Blue Lagoon. It costs about the same as it would by arranging your own transport and is really straight forward. They pick up from most hotels so the transfer is pretty direct. I hope this helps and you have a fabulous trip!
