Hotel Odinsve is centrally located, just a couple blocks from Laugavegur Street and central Reykjavik. Was with most hotels and guesthouses in Iceland, it was very plain, sparse and pragmatic. The room was clean and very tiny. Smaller than the pictures online indicated. Very simple, basic lobby. Staff was helpful when approached.

It might not be brand spanking new but it is nice & clean. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The location was fantastic. Right at the very heart of downtown Reykjavik. Restaurants and shops surround it. Pay parking right in front. The breakfast equally good. It enhanced the nice stay we experienced in Reykjavik.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff could not have been more helpful. They made recommendations for places to go and made bookings for us. They were extremely friendly and professional. It was the birthday of one of us and the staff left a note in our room on the day- very thoughtful. The hotel is pretty central and close to...

Location very good - just a short walk from the center of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave us a map and detailed directions on several occasions when we didn't know where we were going. We booked a triple room as it worked out cheaper. The room was extremely spacious, and the bed was large and comfortable....

We stayed here for 4 nights and could not fault it. Staff are lovely, so polite, rooms are always clean and warm after being in the cold weather. The hotel itself is so convenient with it being right in the city centre just minutes walk from the main shopping street and also the harbour, however you don't hear any noises...

We initially booked two nights but ended up staying six nights because this hotel was so convenient to the downtown area. Because we requested two single beds the room was quite large and the bathroom was huge. The adjacent restaurant had wonderful food and also served breakfast that was part of the hotel's offering. What made this place great was...

Central location with modern and clean rooms. All the local tour companies will drop off and collect from this hotel. Really helpful reception staff. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but menu and food looked really nice.

Very central for Reykjavik. The staff are excellent; helpful and personable. Our room was rather small but probably indicative of what we paid; the case stand in the wardrobe was superfluous as there was nowhere to put it - floor space was at a premium. The street outside was noisy but we do like to sleep with a window open....

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Just a road or two off the main city centre line. Our twin bed room was very small but not much different from other boutique hotels in Europe. We were on the 2nd floor which could get loud with the Snaps bar/restaurant below (which incidentally is a fantastic restaurant) our window. The bathroom...

“Higher floors give you a better view.”
  • Queen bed: big mattress with 2 individual duvets. This is normal.
  • The room felt like a standard U.S. room.
  • Main shopping street is maybe 3 blocks to the right.
  • Shampoos, etc. and hair dryer are in the cabinet under the sink.
