In the last 8 years, I spent more or less 50 nights in this hotel and I still love the location on the shipyard. But everything collapsed in the meantime. First, the service became very unpersonnal and there is no smile ! I miss our friend from Croatia who was doing a great job. The hotel has a new building...

We booked through an Iceland Air Vacation package and couldn't have been happier. Traveled with kids age 7 &10. Rooms are small but efficient, beds comfy and we loved the 2 bedspreads! Breakfast was included with our package which I highly recommend! Front desk was helpful. Quick walk to City Center, Saga Museum, Whale Museum and shops. Overall I would...

My group of 7 women just returned from 8 days in Iceland where we stayed at the Icelandair Marina, a gem of a hotel located 3-4 blocks from the heart of the downtown. A re-purposed paint factory, the Marina has many nooks and crannies for private conversations and small groups, an inviting and comfortable lobby, quirky sculptures and art, and...

I chose this hotel after watching Rick Steins Long Weekends TV show. It was a coincidence as we were looking to travel To Reykjavik for our silver Anniversary. From the outside when you arrive the hotel looks very unassuming and industrial. we found out during our stay that the hotel was a converted factory unit. However when you step inside...

We arrived late evening. Check in was fast and efficient. Our room was facing the road, advice to people booking ask for a room facing the water. I presume this will be quicker as it is a main road the hotel sits on, so was a tad noisy at night. We weren't in the room very much to be fair....

This hotel is a definite must stay if you are in Reykjavik! The staff cannot do enough for you, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are a little small but functional and clean for what you need. You will not spend much time in your hotel so it is perfect for your needs. Saying that, what this hotel...

The location of the Marina Hotel couldn't have been any better for us. It's easy walking to the main shopping/tourist area of Reykjavik, restaurants, whale museum, concert hall, grocery stores (Bonus and Kronan), and flea market (Kolaportid). It's even not too bad a walk to the Hallgrímskirkja Church. If you're taking a boat tour for whale-watching, puffins, Northern Lights, etc,...

Having stayed at two of Icelandair's other properties, the Reykjavik Natura as well as the Icelandair Akureyri, we enjoyed this property the most. As in their other properties, friendly and competent staff were always readily available. Comfortable but smallish rooms are well designed to make good use of the space. Two firm twin beds pushed together to create a double....
