This is a hotel that is showing its age. It feels drab and old, with dingy decor. The location is good, two blocks from the main shopping street with lots of restaurants nearby, and 10 minutes walk to the harbour. We stayed here one night each at the start and end of a trip. The first room had a view...

A little worn but friendly hotel with wonderful breakfast. Instead of a big heavy dinner have their wonderfully delicious homemade soup and bread. A great deal for $10. We ask for a room with a view of the harbor and mountains--extraordinary!! Nice walk into center of town.

The hotel is in a good location just at the end of the road so its close to all the shops and restaurants but you don't have the noise. The staff were all very nice, I forgot to pack a plug adaptor and the receptionist allowed me to borrow one. The breakfast was of a good quality and had a...

We were fortunate to be let into our room at 9am when we arrived from the airport. Our family of four had two rooms (one with bunk beds) and a sitting room in between. Nice and spacious and close to the action. Great beds and linens and an excellent breakfast. It wasn't cheap but nothing in Iceland is.

If you are going to have trouble in Iceland, you will be happy to be staying at the Fosshotel Baron. I got sick and had to extend our stay by 3 days. The front desk staff was knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and efficient as we dealt with travel insurance, tour company, airlines, etc. The young staff at the desk was generous...

The hotel is in a good location close to the end of the walking street. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was pretty good -- not remarkable, but varied and reasonable quality. The only (and serious) problem was that there was no internet signal in the room and only sporadic, weak signals in the public areas. It...

We stayed here the day we arrived to Iceland. We were able to check in early at 12:30 no problem. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and was comfy and quiet. The bar has a great happy hour and an awesome breakfast. Very conveniently located. We would absolutely stay again.

FRONT DESK - the front desk was extremely helpful and nice. They answered all our questions, booked stuff for us and re-arranged rooms so we could check in at 7 am as opposed to 4 am. BREAKFAST - was AMAZING! This is my second hotel I've stayed at in Iceland and the breakfast had a really good selection of food....

This hotel accommodation was chosen for us, rather than by us. It was perfect for our needs. It is in a good location and has an excellent staff. Breakfast is included and it is a great breakfast with lots of good choices. We arrived by FlyBus in mid-morning after an all night flight from the states. With a check in...

We visited Reykjavik for a weekend arriving Friday and departing Monday. After arriving off the Flybus we were checked in and allocated room 507. The room was ok but unfortunately overlooked the car park at the back so not a great view. ( especially with the building work happening opposite) We booked a double room which was basically a twin...
