- The room had a strong smell of dust and was way too hot (we had to stop the heating and open the window for some hours in order to be able to sleep there). The shared showers and toilets were not clean and had a bad smell. - The sleep quality was also poor because of the traffic of...

We actually booked an airBNB for our time in Reykjavik, but we couldn't check in until 12. So, we decided to book the 101 guesthouse for the night before our arrival so when we did arrive at 6am we could just sleep for a few hours and then switch to our other accommodations. I emailed the guesthouse to make sure...

Location is very good and the receptionist is busy but friendly. Rooms were ok. Lots of toilets and showers which was handy. Kitchen was a bit basic, no cooker, just two hot plates and a microwave. Anyway, it was fine for going out on the town :)

I did not realize it was a hostel. Although I was able to get my own room, I didn't feel comfortable sleeping on their beds. Their linens were all old and dirty looking. I wasn't sure if all was washed. The shower was dirty with a large dark brown stain on the shower floor. The toilets were a bit clean....

This hotel has a good location - it's close to the main street and the waterfront. However, despite being friendly, the only member of staff we saw was very infrequently at reception (I see this noted in another review), meaning that at a point where we needed to use a telephone to contact a tour provider for the Northern Lights...

The location is perfect. It's located directly on a popular strip in Reykjavik. However, the wifi is poor and although the staff is friendly, they are hardly at reception and if you arrive before 8am or after 8pm, no one is at reception to help you. I had to wait outside and call someone to check me in. Otherwise, the...

This is a basic and clean accommodation in a great location. It seems to be quiet but close to the buzz of the city centre and the main shopping street is right out side. All tour operators pick up from next door and the rooms are spacious and clean. Use of a share kitchen and dining areas. Also the showers...

I wasn't overall very pleased with staying here. I feel like the private rooms are overpriced. Our room was beside the dorms, and there's absolutely no sound isolation so you can hear every little noise. There doesn't seem to be enough bathrooms for how many people there are so it gets dirty fast, and there's no way to dry your...

This lodging is very basic but would be perfect for those who just wants a neat and accessible place to sleep. I have a reserved a single room but was given a room with two beds across the kithcen/dining room and bathroom. The bus hub is on the corner side. This hub is for public and tour buses. Laugavegur street...

The location of this guesthouse is great, right in the center of Reykjavik, just around the corner from the main street. We had requested a twin room, we were given a double with 2 single blankets. The room was pretty spacious and always nice and warm. We had a sink in the room but were across the hall from 2...
