As others have said, this is really well located on a quiet street but within a few minutes of the harbour and the attractions of central Reykjavik. I arrived about 1.30am following baggage delays but was warmly welcomed and checked in quickly. The room was pleasant and nicely furnished. The walk-in shower is not an unmitigated success though as the... More

The hotel is in a great location. On a secluded street and close to the main square and tourist information center. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We were however a bit surprised by the room size. The cost of the room was reasonably priced for Reykjavik. Accordingly, we anticipated smaller accommodations. However, we were rather surprised how... More

Hotel Hilda is a converted 4 story house on a quiet street, but only a short walk (2 minutes) to the center of Reykjavik. Rooms are small and the elevator (yes they have one) is slow, but this is a B&B not a Marriott, besides walking the stairs to our 4th floor room kept us in shape. Our room had... More

We arrived early and a bit jet lagged and the front desk was so kind. We checked in early and found the room clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to see sights around town. We returned to a great night sleep and a good breakfast the next morning. I'd stay there again anytime.

This hotel was very well appointed and has a quaint feel although it is located in the centre of town walkable to all of the major tourist sites. It is located on a side street and very quiet. Downsides: no dedicated parking for guests and a very small breakfast room. The breakfast room seats only 8 people but there must... More

Lovely hotel (although I would describe it as a bed and breakfast) only 5 - 10 minutes walk from the city centre, yet in a really quiet street, and well priced for the location. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything in Iceland is to expensive and Hotel Hilda is no exception. That said, it is a beautiful, quaint place right between downtown and the port: there is no better location. Plus the breakfast is good and the room very sleek. If you're staying anywhere, I recommend this hotel.

Quite treasure, located very central downtown reykjavik, good breakfast, nice but not too big rooms, very clean, parking is tricky as no private spots are available but on the street in front with pay and display. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I had a very nice stay at Hotel Hilda. The staff was nice and accommodating and the room was clean. Hotel Hilda is in a good location only a couple blocks away from the city center. There was a free breakfast and the room had a private bath. Note: parking is not free and must be renewed each day. Upon... More

We didn't actually stay at Hotel Hilda, but we were in desperate need for wifi to get into our actual accommodations elsewhere and the receptionist at Hotel Hilda was kind enough to let us use their wifi. We were able to sort everything out thanks to her! Just wanted to leave a note sharing our gratitude!
