Stayed here for 4 nights. Good clean hotel with really good buffer breakfast. Not really in the centre of the city but only a 20 min walk on the main shopping street of Laugavegur and buses run outside if needed.

The hotel was a super location. For drop offs and pick ups you were always dropped off first on the way home from a long day travelling. The location is excellent from city centre. It's one street walk straight into centre. It takes about 20...More

As for tours, it's probably good to book one or two before you go. We used Gray Line, who picked up right from this hotel. I always prefer to leave a couple open days so that I can spend longer than planned somewhere or do a new activity or tour while there. For whale watching, I know Gray Line has a few different options.
